If you can't make it to the game or they run out of seats you can always listen to live action on 107.7 WSEO with Ray Spoutz and Rocky Brunty

Good luck to the Alexander Spartans. You guys have been playing some pretty tough football lately. Friday night is going to be a challenge but I think if you want it bad enough you will come out on top. Keep working hard! You have given people something to talk about with your 5-0 start. Lets keep it going on Friday!!!! Best of luck and may there be no injuries to either team.

Big hill to climb for the Spartans...on paper they look outmatched, but that's why games aren't played on paper. Anything can happen.

should be a great game in the plains friday. one team's playoff picture will get a bit brighter. athens sits 14th in their region, while sparty is 6th in theirs. not many second level points for either team. but anyway, to the game itself. i agree with the earlier poster who stated this game will be won in the trenches. imo, athens has the advantage. 'dogs defend the home turf 32-14. good luck to both teams and stay injury free.

The energy and excitement level around here are just incredible, there hasn't been this kind of support since the Grant Gregory and Chris Hewitt days. When possible my wife and I usually travel with the team even in down years as she is an elementary school teacher and enjoys watching her former students play, I haven't seen the number of supporters in the stands for away games in many many years and the home crowds have been spectacular.

alexander always wins in the beginning of there season because they play non league weak sauce in the TVC hocking lol(aside from a very down trimble team and a very down fed hock team) the rest is just terrible, judging off of last years whooping with a far less better athens team, ill say Athens BIG again.

Great discussion on this thread. Lets not ruin it by taking pop shots. I am a big Bulldog fan, but I have to agree, neither schedule thus far has played out to be stellar, but we all play who is on our schedule, sometimes teams are down and it ends up in wins. Regardless, both of us are undefeated and playing in the biggest game either of us has played in in a long time, and how cool is it we happen to be playing each other.

I am happy that both teams are doing so well. This game is a win win for every one!! It's great for Athens county, it's great for the TVC, and its great for the schools and there fans!!. Whoever wins the league title this year will have earned it. Weather it be NY, Athens, or Alex. (or a combination of the 3!)

Would anyone be able to list the scores of Athens' games thus far?? ...Also could an Athens follower verify if the QB Trey Harris has thrown a pick yet this season?? I would appreciate it.
