No Trey Harris has not thrown a pick all year ... its one of the many odd numbers I am putting together in this weeks blog on trivalleyconference.com

Athens 21
Gallia 0

Athens 47
Fed Hock 7

Athens 41
Bloom-Carroll 14

Athens 56
Meigs 18

Athens 42
Vinton County 0

Athens has only given up 39 pts al year; Alex has scored 212!

The numbers I am putting together are absolutly crazy ... the differences couldn't be any more drastic.

Athens big!! I am happy that Alex is doing well this year, but I do not feel that they can hang with Athens.

Will Athens make the playoffs if they win out?

If Alex keeps ahold of the ball, this will be a close game that could go either way. If the Dogs force a few turnovers then they will win by 14+ points!

Well NY is just around the corner so it would be true to form for Alex players to start dropping like flies, only to be miraculously cured shortly after the beating the Buckeyes put on them.

Athens shouldn't talk bad about anyones schedule
Go 10-0 and not make the playoffs.

Alexander's schedule is weak, and from what I hear it is only going to get weaker. I heard on the radio that they are dropping Trimble and picking up Miller. It won't surprise me if they try to get back in the Hocking division of the TVC. That will never happen, but don't be surprised if they try it.

I think the possibility of Alex to the hocking is far fetched, they have the program headed in the right direction and as we all know winning usually breeds winning. The Spartans have enough size and talent in the school to compete for titles in the Ohio if the program continues on it's present course.

How do you figure? The 5 teams Athens has beat have a total of 3 wins combined. Alex = 6.

The fact is Trimble would more than likely dropped the game if alex hadn't. Trimble will only have 2 non-league games now and NY is one of them so that leaves them with one open date!!! And the fact that Alex added Miler doesn't mean that it is anything more than a home and home series!. Maybe Alex is looking down the road and trying to open some dates up for a little tougher competition.

I would say it's because three wins are from D6 Eastern, one win from D6 Trimble (0-5 Belpre), and two wins put up by a Unioto team that came into the year on a 22 game losing streak and their 2 wins are against 0-5 teams ( Vinton Co., Huntington).

I don't think we really need to have a peeing contest over who schedule is harder!
Lets face it! NY, Alex, and Athens have had pretty week schedules to this point!!
The great news is that NY, Athens and Alexander all have to play each other so we will see who the best team in the TVC-Ohio is!!!!!

Good point, it'll all play out on the field in the next few weeks let the better teams win.

The only thing I want to mention about the schedule is the fact that Athens is a DII team that plays in a league filled with Division IV's and V's. They were in a league full of teams their size and could not compete. What would their record be if they still had to play Logan, Jackson, Warren and others?

MSL - Nobody here cares what you think. And the TVC is 2-0 vs Mid State League. Athens actually lost enrollment but moved up to D 2 to balance regions.

What a great experience for these young men! To come into a stadium and play a cross-county team with both teams undefeated . . . wow! And to think one of these teams will walk away with the potential opportunity to do it again within a week or two.

I look forward to seeing a great game and hope the atmosphere is electric. Good luck to both teams and both coaching staffs . . . may the best team win!

btw: This thread isn't about TVC vs. MSL - start another thread if you want that debate.
