Rock Hill JV 26-14 Over Burg JV
Re: Rock Hill JV 26-14 Over Burg JV
LOL...I bet they caught it from the sick RH kids on Friday. The game was 26-6 until Burg returned a kickoff with less than 5 minutes left. RH threw 1 pass the whole game, not counting the 2 pt conversion.

I wasn't that impressed with RH's jv team when they played West. Is burgs jv team down or did they have several out due to illness?

FYI...when RH played West, they played with a backup JV QB who had taken snaps for all of 2-3 days. The starting JV QB was out with an injury. RH is now 3-1 in JV play with the one loss in the mud bowl to West at a score of 18-0.

I mean nothing by that. I could tell the kid hadn't played much QB. And that field was a mess..
Good luck Redmen JV rest of the year.

I just said that because this was j.v. thread. I root for any team we beat. I wish every team we played would go 9-1 if it was possible except the burg.

Not making any excuses at all, it is what it is, we just had a lot of kids out because of the virus, if you have seen these boys play any prior games you would see that, we got beat and you play the game with what you have. The whole school district has an exremely large amount of kids out with the virus. We will be healthy again and bounce back. just pray for our kids please thank you.

RH has a lot of kids out of school due to illness also. Its really going around. In fact, several of the kids that played in this game were sick but played anyways. They also played on Friday night because we had several Varsity starters out with the virus. I'm certainly not going to get on here and say that's why RH's Varsity lost.

It was kind of odd to show up at the JV game in the third quarter and only see two subs on the sidelines where I am used to seeing nine or ten. Some were not there because they played too much in the varsity game since there were four starters out injured for the Pirates there. And one of the 'starting' JV players had surgery on Friday and is out for the season. BUT it was great experience for the five replacing the missing JV starters and that is what a JV game is all about anyway--getting experience in a game situation. They will be better for it. Hopefully they will develop another back-up linebacker. That seemed to be the hardest spot to fill with Culver out.
The bad news is that they said that three of the Burg players were sick but playing anyway so if it is not the same virus as you had last week--I will say 'sorry' now in advance. They would have had to cancel if those three did not play but I am not sure that it is worth the risk of spreading this.

Very well put
