I don't understand why a coach being down 14 in the 3rd would take out his star passer (on a passing team) and take your best receiver out of play by putting him in at QB. ???

Yates will more than likely be the starter next year at QB. He has been running a few plays a QB all year.

But they have been winning pretty handily all year 'til now. Didn't seem to be the game to practice more in.

That's not bashing, that's just the truth. He has overthrown Stegman all year and it will end up costing them down the line. I believe that is only his 3rd TD pass all year and maybe only his 5th or 6th completion to Stegman. Tylers a great kid, but he is just not a very good passing QB.

The TD just before halftime and the one immediately after the half took the wind out of the sails of the Indians. I thought Burg would win but I didnt think it would be by this much.

Yates completed 1 pass that I believe went for a 3 yard loss.

I left this one at halftime. . . I figured it would turn out like this. Burg's defense controlled the game after Valley struck first. It was all Valley could do to keep the flood gates from opening in the first half.
Burg could make a very nice run in the playoffs.

Great job Pirates. Ran the ball right at them and the big players for the Burg made the plays tonight. Craigmiles had a nice run on his first TD where he broke some tackles and then took it to the house.

Pass defense played pretty well. Did give up the one long TD pass.

The one thing I don't understand is why is Lang allowed to wear gloves when he is under center? Kind of hard to get a good grip on the ball with gloves on and it lloked like they were getting slick which in turn caused him to mishandle some snaps. First QB I've ever seen that wore gloves.

Burg needs to win next week and then get prepared for week 11.

Really!!!!!!! I thought they had alot of empty seats over as well as the Burg side did. I know the weather might have played a part in that and man did it come a rain. Reminded me of the homecoming game a few years back. It was coming down in sheets.

Yeah, Don't assume there is gonna be a week 11. Even if the Pirates win next week! No guarantees!

From all the hype this week I thought this game would be closer. Looking at the stats and score this was domination. I thought Valley would play better. Was the field in good shape? At Waverly it poured the rain and their field turned to slop in a matter of minutes.

Surprised by their intensity? Valley is always pumped up against burg! Then coin toss comes and they tuck tail! I know this season they finally broke the TD curse but still 2003-2009 Burg has outscored Valley 208-17!! But coming into the game and well into the 1st Quarter, Valley stays Pumped up!
