Re: SEOPS Players of the Year Nominations
COY- Bob Lutz accomplished a great feat but I'm going with Greg Phillips based on the season the Oaks have had.
POY Offense- Pat Angle, this kid can flat out play.
POY Defense-Trevon Pendleton, I am scared for all ball carriers going up against this guy.
Lineman- I haven't really noticed any spectacular lineman, so I'll go with whoever you guys choose. (LOL)
Turnaround- Portsmouth Trojans, this team was pitiful last season. They made a complete transformation this year, they were very good. To think they missed the playoffs by a fraction of a point is amazing. Congrats to Coach Clifford and his staff.

Amyx and Lutz are outstanding coaches who have my upmost repsect. They both had seasons they should have with the teams they have. No to take anything away from either one, they are superb coaches.
Pfifer took a Warren team that has been terrible at best for a long time to 7-3 and a win against Ironton in week 10 away from the first every playoff appearance.
Clifford took a 1-9 team to 7-3 with a shot at the post season as well.
This is coach of the YEAR. Selecting Lutz because he set the record is giving him the honor for a career, not this season.
No disrespect, but you are pointing out that Clifford took his OWN 1-9 team and went 7-3. They didnt make the playoffs, they didnt win their conference. Explain to me how he would be COY?
I think that Oak Hill's coach or Lutz are the obvious choices for COY if you are looking at the overall achievement of the team.
As for being a good coach...most of the difficulties is developing the team...and this takes time...Lutz has finally developed a good if not great team this year...and I feel that they should go far into the playoff for that...
Coach - Lutz - Ironton
Def - J.Monnig - Ironton...would put him up against any defensive player in southeast ohio
Off. - T. Wilks - Ironton...started the season as a backup...He is now proven to be the real deal...
Lineman - Cramblit - Ironton...I haven't seen a lineman who carries out the blocking any better than this kid...he is one of the best I have seen...and being from Ironton..and playing at Ironton..I have seen many...

LUTZ:THE COACH MAN RIDING FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY!
Special nod to Mighty oak hill coach phillips.
QB. Angle Logan!
Backfield, Ironton and any of the seven they can pick from. Nod towards tres wilks.
Linemen. Moninning Ironton and without the season ending injury at ashland, Kreibel Ironton!
Best turn around and promising future. portsmouth
The shot in the arm for community/program awakening... WARREN.
Shock on usually atleast being consistient....PEAKE.... hang in there...
Let's beat up each other.... SOC!!!
Best fan traveling support... LOGAN
Biggest disappointment... Ironton/Logan posting...(childrens have to play including myself on a post. Only one I said)...

I dunno his name but for Coach of the Year I'd have to go with the Athens coach. Everyone else I'll let you guys argue over.
