SEOAL and The Playoffs

Post by Trojan_FB_Alum »

Logan- Already have home field, and poised to make a long run. The Chieftains are a great team, and have the offensive fire power to do some damage in the playoffs. Louisville will be their biggest threat to a regional title.

Ironton- Already have home field, and poised to make a long run. In my opinion, the Fighting Tigers have the best chance of any SEOAL team to win their region. After that you never know.

Portsmouth - Still alive, but, but need a win, and some help this week. If the Trojans get in they will be rewarded by heading to Amanda Clearcreek, or Ironton. Both would require a monumental task to pull an upset, but the Trojans showed what their offence could do against the Fighting Tigers earlier this season.

Jackson- Needs help as they set 13th in region 12. Good news is this weeks opponent is Zanesville, which should bring the Ironmen plenty of points if they can win. Bad news is they will most likely still need some help. If the Ironmen are in they will most likely head to Dayton CJ.

Warren- Still alive but like Portsmouth and Jackson will need help to get in. The Warriors can help themselves some with a victory over Ironton this week. Even with an upset victory Warren will still need loses ahead of them to get in. If Warren is able to sneak in they will most likely be headed to Louisville to play the undefeated Leopards.

I would love to see the SEOAL get 5 representatives in. Logan and Ironton are all ready a lock, hopefully we can get at least one more team in. Portsmouth is most likely the team with the next best shot of getting in. All of these teams have had good years regardless of how the season ends.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE OF THE SEOAL TEAMS THIS WEEK AND INTO THE PLAYOFFS.

GO TROJANS

GO WARRIORS ( sorry Ironton, but we need the points)

Logan, if you could find a way to lose to Chilli tonight it would really help my Trojans. Come on Chieftains help get another SEOAL team into the playoffs.
Hey, it was worth try.

TROJAN -

Pretty good run down. Don't sleep on Brookhaven in Region 7. Could be the best team in the Region. Played Davidson VERY tough and got worn down against Coffman, but DC with Stoudt may have been a D1 title contender.

Well the Tigers and Chieftains will be our representatives this year for the SEOAL. Portsmouth comes close with a win tonight but finishes 9th in region 15. When joining this league I would have never guessed we would go 7-3 and miss the playoffs. :122248 I remember being 7-3 and finishing 2nd in 99, we just didn't get the 2nd level points we needed.

Anyway best of luck to Ironton and Logan. I would love to see the SEOAL bring back 2 state titles this year. These 2 teams are good enough to make it happen.

Go SEOAL

Best of luck to both teams in week 11. Stay frosty, stay healthy and show 'em what SEO football is all about!

Tough luck, Portsmouth... gear up and get 'em next year!

Portsmouth team of '88 finished 7-3 as well and made the playoffs as a 3 seed in D2..... This was during OKAC days when Ashland, Greenup, Russell and Boyd provided an abundance of points as they were all winning on a consistent basis and added D2 or D3 status as well.......
