Re: D2 - Region 7: (#7) Canal Winchester at (#2) Logan
I am not from Logan, but I do believe we should give credit where credit is due. They have boosted there non-league schedule and deserve big props for that.
I remember a few years back they really got blasted for being the only DI team in the playoffs who did not play another DI opponent.
Now they are DII, but they are scheduling a couple non-league DI opponents. I love to see that, and when they have the talent that they do this year it pays off with big wins and big computer points.
They have a great facility with a wonderful atmosphere for playoff football. Should make for a great weekend of football.

The DI competition also helps prepare for a playoff run.
Re: D2 - Region 7: (#7) Canal Winchester at (#2) Logan
will a deep playoff run hurt the basketball team?

Who cares? Go to the basketball site if you are worried about that. Just because it is basketball season for your team doesn't mean it is for everyone else.

Re: D2 - Region 7: (#7) Canal Winchester at (#2) Logan
Logan's basketball team usually losses the first three or four games anyways, so its not such a big deal. I could only for see any problems if they there is some sort of hangover from playing past Thanksgiving. I wouldn't doubt that Angle and Mays still go out and throw up some threes every few days, and as long as their doing that their accuracy shouldn't be off. They may be tired and hurt from four plus months of football five to six days a week, but they'll be strong and be in the mood for physical play.

Good luck to the Chiefs on Friday. This is one SEOAL fan who thinks that Logan has the tools to make a great playoff run. Step #1 on the road to Stark County...

Thanks '02.
We'll need all the support we can get the few weeks, but if the kids stay focused and work hard they get where they want to be.

Yeah, my history is checked, and you are saying EXACTLY what I am saying. Everyone criticized Logan back then for making the DI playoffs without playing any DI opponents in the regular season (I remember because I was calling games on the radio back then).
Logan has since changed all that, by adding several DI opponents (also what I already said) plus they themselves have actually moved DOWN to DII!!!!!
The point I was making is that Logan has up-graded their schedule and deserve props for that. Evidently you completely missed the point because my history is right and I am giving Logan credit for fixing a perceived weakness from years ago.

I apologize. "A few years back" generally means to me two, three, four years, not eight, but you are right.

Gotcha.... No problems.
Not to put the cart before the horse, but does anyone know how much Louisville is returning this year? Are they pretty much the same team as last year?
If all works out, the Logan/Lousville game should be an awesome match-up.
