6 wins would be great for VC next year! I feel like VC winnable games next year are so far...Unioto, Athens, and Wellston...not sure on the complete schedule yet..i think there are 3 games yet to be decided... The only reason i feel these are winnable games are for the fact that all of these teams graduated a lot of their playmakers from this year...VC played Unioto and Wellston tough only to fall in the second half...and Athens is losing so much that i think it should be a good game next year as well...Lets hope VC picks up a couple of games that they should be favored in, to try and build some confidence back in the boys. Next year will be the turning point for VC football..and i think it will be a turn in the right direction!

Just got back from enjoying the day golfing. It was a beautiful day, golf, Rooster's, and it couldn't get much better. Anyways, I think I can help with the schedule. I believe it is as follows;

Week One - Unioto
Week Two - Piketon
Week Three - Jackson
Week Four - Waverly
Week Five - Point Pleasent
Week Six - Athens
Week Seven - Nelsonville-York
Week Eight - Meigs
Week Nine - Alexander
Week Ten - Wellston

I am sure about the non-conference schedule, the TVC schedule I may be iffy on.

Wow...Piketon and Point...Both coming off decent seasons. Should be interesting. I think if VC improves as much as they should this offseason, these two games should be good! Do you know where these will be played this year hawkeye? I wonder if VC is playing Point to help figure out if they would vote them in the TVC, if they got an invite???

**Ive seen the TVC schedule on another thread..

Week 6- Athens
week 7- Alexander
week 8- Nelsonville York
week 9- Meigs
week 10- Wellston

How many seniors did they have last year? I heard they are getting a nice group of freshmen as well. They will not help early, but they can continue to build on what has been developed.

Now you are on to something there. It worked for A-town.

Is this before or after the new coach?

VC is getting a new coach? WOW! I hadn't heard that one. What is your source?

Week One - @ Unioto
Week Two - Piketon
Week Three - @ Jackson
Week Four - Waverly
Week Five - @ Point Pleasent
Week 6- @ Athens
week 7- Alexander
week 8- Nelsonville York
week 9- Meigs
week 10- @ Wellston on a Saturday

Dundas, I believe you are right on the TVC Schedule, the only thing I was sure of is that Athens was week six and Wellston have been moved back to its rightful place, week ten. And I am sure that Wellston is being played on a Saturday.

Piketon will be down. They played a lot of seniors.
VC could go 2-0 to start the season

Has VC and Piketon/Point ever matched up before in football? Also, does anyone know how long the contracts are for these matchups?

3 home league games will be nice this coming year!! Hopfully VC can get out to a 2-0 start...Jackson is losing their qb...maybe the magic of 1998 will be back and VC can finally take down the Ironmen!! wishful thinking...i know...but i could happen!!

Point and Vinton County have never met on the field before.

It is a two year deal. First game is at Point.

So is Yates coming back or not? I keep hearing different things. I've heard Yates is coaching next year, I've also heard Wolford is coaching, I've even heard Jeff Downs is going to be the coach again. Anybody know what is really going on?

Cant VC just hire a coach and let him do his job? Joe Bob was the last stable influence this program had...
