Right! ;-) I hear ya!!
This sounds like Obi Won Kenobee. There isn't any droids here, you don not need to see any identification! Move along!

No just kidding. I really hope this is the truth and not a message to try and hide it, and keep what freddy fans on here from learning about an injury. I've heard it from people who are not even on SEOPS that it was true, but that doesn't really mean it is. So I hope it isn't! If so, Burg will gather itself and still win with what they have!!

I wanna see both teams at their best. That way no team can say, well, if we would've had......

Go Burg!
Beat the Freddies!!
Don't spot them 35 this time! That game gave me a heart attack!

tjhtygeverve wrote:I just want to wish the Wheelersburg Pirates the Best of Luck this coming week. We have had some great games and continue to have a great atmosphere of comraderie and sportsmanship at our games and for each other the remainder of the season. I think Wheelersburg has a lot to prove and will. Even if they have an inured player, they are just like us. We pull one in the game thats just gritting his teeth to get playing time and then has a smashmouth game. I want the Burg and Ironton to go all the way... It can happen. I am only concerned about how much the burg let their week eleven opponent score. Defense wins games, especially in the five game season it takes to win the state. I strongly feel the Burg will have a challenge with Fredricktown, but will pull away. I also think it will be the opposite of last week, where the score will be like 21-7, something in that scenario. I am so proud of the Burg and Ironton, and I just love how both can pull from five nice sized backs that can leave the other team scratching their heads, like "who the heck is he, he wasnt in films"!!!
Now, I am totally against crashing another teams thread, as Many had to endure earlier in the year for weeks, but when you respect the Burg as I town fans do, if ya have any class at all, ya chime in and say good luck, and I will even say... Burg's the word! I pride myself on class, being from Ironton, and for several years i have had to literally bite my tounge in not saying anything when reading the regional standings and I would just giggle until having to run to the bathroom when i read about Fredricktown. YES, a great team, But their team name always makes me giggle until i hit the urination depository.... "The Freddies"... Just cracks me up in a good way, but I am sure they could come up with a last minute slogan like" giggle at fredricktown and the "Fred's knock you dead"! or like the the kill bill movies... the fred's kill..????? Oh my give me a day off, and see what happens.. I havent even made it to the Ironton thread yet either..

good luck BURG!!!

I am completely serious in support of Wheelersburg, and having wholesome fun about fredricktown's nickname. I do not mean to offend, although I am sure it will.. If this makes anyone from the Burg upset, I apologize in advance... go burg go!!

THANKS!!

BURG is pulling for Ironton as well. BURG and Ironton = 2 great programs! We support Itown in every game(but the first one..LOL).

I wish ALL area teams the best of luck Friday and Saturday(Burg, Oak Hill, and Ironton).

Go BURG!

Go OAKS!

Go TIGERS!

We are...SOUTHERN OHIO!!

I think and feel that all teams can win. Just play football like you have all season! I look for the BURG game to be a great game. I am not sure if its going to be a high or low scoring game. Last week there was 94 points scored between the 2 teams. Hope that BURG's D steps up and can shut them down.

Once again GOOD luck to all teams!

We are...The BURG!!

I root for all southeastern Ohio teams when it comes to the playoffs, but Wheelersburg's coach played for my alma mater. So good luck to Wheelersburg and coach Woodward.

No doubt. Dont think the freddies looked at Sp game. Silvey was a bear. I also like walker running. He could be better if he just ran harder. Not enough carries to get all that in though. He is a really good athelete!

Also, Puddle has kicked me out for more money so i dropped my subscription. Thank you SEOPS for postponing any offers for money. I know you may have to in the future if the economy gets worse. I like this site better anyway. This site has put up with me and a "step son that stole my password" and didnt kick me off. Sorry west posters!

Freddies havent played 4 qtrs all year. burg has been scrapping all year long. Feddies dline will wear down vs this oline but all depends on how they play If they explode to the legs, we are ineffective imo. if that, then it goes to the coaches to get our speed outside, and I think we can. Unbalanced lines, good quick pitches to speed backs. Freddies posters say they dont play the Dline on offense, so they are fresh every series. I only remember 2 MC dlineman playing both ways, but im not sure. Doesnt matter. We wore them DOWN! keep Craigmiles off the field on defense if at all possible. If and when he comes in, I hope he is as unexpected a 2 yr starter on the Dline and wipes out the Freddie Qb like he did the MC qb last week. We have very smart players that know how to read blocking schemes and the Burg must continue to go with that in our running game. I think Woodward learned ALOT from the Centerburg game as defensive coordinator. It showed in the second half vs MC. And he has seen this Freddie team also! We will be ready for the Freddies on the offensive side!

As for our defense. Jets and spread. Des and LBs stay the F home!! DEs need to make the plays and LBs need to make the reads. Come on guys, you can do it!! I think we have some of the best film guys in southern ohio, They will be able to pick out the Freddies weaknesses on both sides of the ball. Good luck to them!!

Good luck to Burg!! Get the job done, play the game and impose your will!!

GO BURG!

woody was not the DC when they lost to centerburg. with the speed of the freddies on offense i dont know how much we can keep craigmiles off the field. maybe 50% of the time in the 1st half then 25 % in the 3rd but in the forth just breaks as needed.

Not sure about that but it doesnt really matter. Chad J. is still on the staff and thats a plus! I just dont know what speed the freddies are touting this year. I have seen them on Video and they are just a tough team, no speed to be concerned vs burg imo. Its all good. lets just say Burg can RUN with them. Hows that? Burgs D will be good. The Oline will be tough, the running game will be good. Its all good!

To add a little to the excitement, WBNS Channel 10 will be "dropping in" from the air at around 7:00 PM Friday night. They will land right behind the visitor's side bleachers in the baseball outfield.

Good luck to both teams!
