Lindsey might be a good 400 runner but his speed in the 100 isn't really that great.

All I know is, I've watched both teams play and it will be a lot closer I believe than most think. Outstanding players on both sides that can take over a game if they are not held in check...lol

This friday is what H.S. Football is all about.. Have fun and be safe everyone, I'll see ya at Boston Field.

This Buckeye TEAM reminds me of the 94 Team..Except they can trow the ball ALOT BETTER..
Alot of you are comparing stats..Look what NY Dustin young has done...Just a little over 8 quarters of football..
same with dean...Granted logan going to say look who they have played..Logan has played stronger teams..
BUT HAVENT done the one thing that means the most...Is win NY knows how to win..This Buckeye team will ATTACK LOGAN from all sides.NY is alot better TEAM... Than what ur going to expect..this IS NOT A TYPICAL NY TEAM..I think logan will be shocked ...

Logan's starting TB has 315 yds on the ground, but the telling stat is that he is avg almost 6 ypc. Thats a nice chunk each time he runs the ball.
Logan's QB has thrown for almost 600 yds in 4 games as well. That seems to be a nice mix of run vs the pass.

My point is that saying NY has an edge at the RB spot by a long shot may be a bit over stated. And Logan's MLB is avg almost 15 tackles a game. Again, I dont see an edge there for NY. I would say even at that spot.
Look at the teams the 315 yards are against
I agree somewhat but let's look at the penities, fumbles and pass interceptions, junk the showboat offense and return back to basics run 65% and pass 35 %

Logangrad wrote:Moonshine, I really would like to know what games you're watching?? Logan has run the ball 133 times this year compared to 43 passes. Its not a "showboat" offense, its a formation you dont like. Teams CAN actually run out of something other than an "I" formation. Its not 1955 anymore. And Im not sure how returning to your style of offense (Whatever that is) will eliminate penalties, fumbles and pass interference!?!? Things need to get taken care of on the field, during the game and changing formations wont somehow make those things just go away. Just my opinion....

Maybe it comes down to concentration and discipline. Let's be clear we have alot of trouble just snapping the ball let alone running a shotgun or pistol offense. Grad we just do not have the total talent to run this Offense maybe a few years back. The Chiefs must return to the basics. I could go on and on about our problems but it is correction time or it will be blow out city against Nelsonville-York

What's tough about high school (and college) football is the coach can't always play underclassmen and get them experience for future seasons. JV is fine but is not the same as Friday night football. But the coaches do feel some obligation to allow the upper classmen to play as their time is running out. They may indeed be the better current players but it does nothing to help succeeding years. Logan has to fix the miscues and mistakes. I don't know how they do that halfway through the season. It is just a tough time for Logan football. As Bill Parcells once said, "You are what your record is." But if Logan was to right the ship and finish 6-4 or 5-5, what would we make of them then?

Wow, has anyone checked out the calpreps prediction? I don't think it will be a big blowout like this at all -
Logan (OH) at Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville, OH), 7:30pm [projection: Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville, OH) 42-17]
If the calpreps prediction did come true, 42 would be the most points the Buckeyes have ever scored against Logan and it would be the second largest margin of victory win for the Buckeyes, trailing only the 40-0 blowout win in 1981, the year NY won the State Championship.

I'm not shocked that calpreps predicted NY to win, but I am shocked by the margin of victory they are projecting.

I think the Buckeyes have to play their best game yet this season to come away with the win on Friday night.

This is not a surprise! The Chiefs are a poor defense and we are prone to making mistakes on offense. I think Logan will score around 20 points but holding N-Y under 35-40 will be difficult. But if the chiefs limit there mistakes they might keep it closer!

There have been some exciting games in this series, as not all games have been blowouts. Check out these 8 games, all decided by a TD or less - 3 by one point - and one in overtime!

1969 Logan (H) 20-14
1979 Logan (H) 10-9
1980 Logan (A) 7-6
1989 Logan (A) 6-0 OT
1994 Nelsonville-York (H) 20-19
1995 Logan (A) 21-18
1996 Nelsonville-York (H) 28-21
1998 Logan (H) 34-29

lets speak the truth here logan is way down this year, and n-y is really good this year 9out of10 times its always going to be logan ,but not this year if the bucks win i hope they go really far this year.now the truth about the chiefs -talent wayyyy down, not many want to play, not many went out for the team, along with a coaching staff that doesnt know what to be ,no discipline-logan is in trouble people,i hate to say it but i speak the truth.
