Will River Valley play at home this year?

Post by Bfan »

Will RV play at home this year? Heard that they will be on the road. Cant they play at Gallipolis or SG? Why not play at the old North Gallia, since thats close to where the school is anyway.

I had heard earlier this week there was going to be 4 home games now. I just figured they were going back to the old field to play. I hope that is what they are going to do if the new field is not ready for play.

The way the school skimped on the basketball gym, the new football field will probably only have 4 rows of bleachers and only one goal post.

Does that mean that they will have to play half-court?

if there is only one goal post maybe the answer is......
portable goal posts.... is there such a thing?

could be moved from one end to the other for extra point and fg kicks

4 rows of bleachers should be plenty of seating

good point assind. half court is probably what they are figuring. wont have to worry about airconditioning. put everyone in the woods to view the game

It is my understanding that RV will now be playing a full schedule of 5 home games at the old field in Cheshire. I pushed my "easy button" when I heard this news. I hope that it is correct.

That sounds like the smart thing to do for this year.

I hope they get somebody new to do the upkeep on the field however. Last year there were kids complaining of ground moles digging up the field. Thats no joke!

My mom is a teacher at South Gallia and she told me that the football fields at both River Valley and South Gallia are suppose to be finished before season starts, so if she has good inside information they will be playing on there new fields. I also was told that Dr. Evans wont let them play at there old school.

So what field is it that you are talking about them playing at in Cheshire?

The new fields will not be completed by this coming season. RV is now playing at the field at the old RV building.

Yes! There are gopher holes on the field! I wondered why no one ever brought this up on here! I've been waiting for 4 years on this post! Haha
