Thanks TGDF! GO IRONTON FIGHTING TIGERS! I listened for many years all through the late '70's, '80's and '90's to Coal Grovian coworkers go on and on about how Ironton was "too scared" to play Coal Grove. Yeah right!!! WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!

I really, really, really hate to hear this. How many times in the past has the lack of a reliable place kicker risen up and bitten the Fighting Tigers on the patoot.

Only got 1 job to do...my bad inside joke about kickers. Didnt seem like there were a lot of people there tonight like in past games between these two teams.

last year 1st week the kicking game looked pretty bad. i was impressed with the improvement from week 1 to week 2, and it was not a problem all year. we will get that lined out. sounds like with the offense clicking like it was last night we will be able to get lots of work in. coach lutz is a defensive genius we will be ok there. i didnt make it to the game, my main hope is that we made it thru the game with no injuries.

Offense looked very good. Scored at will. Running game will be better than last year IMO. All three backs hit the hole hard.
Defense was very suspect. Poor tackling, and line getting gashed. Not sure what to make of that. DE was a very big question mark coming into the season and what i saw last night it still is.

There was one injury to an ironton starter it appeared but never heard who or what.

Ironton offense looks great. The defense ran a plain set every play. Not one blitz and never one time went into a nickle situation on 3rd and long. defense will be just fine.
