^ Well if you're taking stock in CalPreps with their "Project a match-up" they're using last years results. Look at the week to week projections for a more accurate account of what they predict. If you look at Jackson vs. Wellston and the Burg at Jackson scrimmage, I can see where one would draw that conclusion. Nevertheless, Red Strom Rising needs to grow up and realize you cannot tell really anything at this point in the season about a team or where they'll end up week 11.

lets compare the first two games for each team. burg played ironton and at oak hill losing close in both games. burg could very easily be 2-0 also. minford played south point and just barely edged wellston. lets see a lil prediction of burg playin minfords first two games and minford playin burgs first two.

cal preps:

Wheelersburg 35
Wellston 14

Wheelersburg 42
South Point 17

Ironton 22
Minford 14

Oak Hill 26
Minford 19

IMHO the minford-ironton game would be alot worse. i think the tigers would win by at least 21 points.

Ah the old Sleight of Hand trick. Lets focus on some other team that is 2-0 and maybe we dont have to face the music of being 0-2.

I dont have a grip with Burg. I root for the SOC II schools every time they play non conference teams. I think that Burg has lost to 2 good teams. But for you go come on here and put Minford down with these prediction, please!

Wow, what is going to happen if you lose to those Trojans this week and start out 0-3? :?

Let's hope Burg goes 0-3 wouldn't that be nice for a change. Heck the Valley Indians might have a chance of beating the Burg this year. WOW just kidding Valley will never beat the Burg!

Could there be an Ed Miller sighting in the Burg if they lose this game?

re-read the post genius. all I was saying is how great it is to see burg at the bottom of region 19 and a goose egg in the win column. We all know they wont end up there and a poll at week 2 means nothing. if they do end this week at 0-3 there will have to be mental health counselling for the pirate fans. Go Trojans.

^ Lol, well by reading some of the remarks over on burgfan. com, I think some of them are already in need of some, "mental health counseling."

Ed Miller may be sitting in the stands so there probably will be a "sighting" of Ed.

We just meet here. No need to sink dollars into a website during a double dip recession.

This is a pivotal game for both teams. If Burg loses, they won't make the playoffs. If Portsmouth loses, they have no momentum going into conference play, which could also mean no playoffs. This should be a good game. Is this game going to be on the radio tonight?

Calpreps is an absolute joke. All it is is a simulation of how some people think the game may go down. You can't substitute simulation for reality, so until then, let's quit comparing apples to oranges because Minford doesn't play Ironton and Burg doesn't play Wellston or South Point.
Totally agree here is why

Calpreps

Portsmouth West 19
Fairland 20

Portsmouth West 21
Portsmouth 31

Portsmouth West 42
South Point 21

?????????????????????????????

that makes no sense
