Congrats Tigers on a great win.............

Tres Wilkes 8 carries for 210 yards and 5 TD's ( one being a 54 yard interception return for a TD) what else can you say.

A great Defensive game plan against the Spread Offense and it was carried out perfectly (I think we finally figured out how to defend it)

How many sacks did we end up with???? i know Schyler Fields was in the backfield all night long.

Great job Tigers............now on to 4-0 Gallia Academy

GO TIGERS

it's official, the fighting tigers have officially hit their stride. it happened about last week second half of the chilli game. things with the kittens back to normal. their defense was worn out they were on the fiel all night long. this team plays like this gonna be a hard out.

Oh, shut up OSU 77 !!! Yes, the Fighting Tigers won big, but do not diminish or belittle the quality of the Ashland Tomcat team. For goodness sake - Ironton beat a very good team tonight - do NOT trivialize that win by insulting the quality of their opponent - or claiming it was due to "reffing". IRONTON WON on their talent, skill, execution, coaching, and preparation!! GO FIGHTING TIGERS

Very true. Couldn't be put better. I know the vast majority of people from Ashland Who post on here won't say anything. I (As an Ashland Tomcat Fan) will not be like the others who say stupid things to degrade the game on either side. From the highlights, the posts of Caglewis and the defense that the tigers put up. Ironton 100% deserved to win.

For goodness sakes this is a High School football game. The main focus should be honed in on making sure the gentleman of each of our communities are safe and injury free. To show good and true sportsmanship. Because it what each of us grow on. It's a rivalry for sure, but to degrade each other is uncalled for. To make false accusations about calls or saying things about " how fixed" the game is, it's blatantly childish. Be proud of your communities, shake each others hands and wish each other the best of luck into the remainder of the season. I congratulate you Tigers, from This Tomcat fan...

43 to 6 had nothing to do with calls, ironton probably had just as many penalties, and we missed probly 8 more extra points.

Wow! I was very impressed with how Ironton prepared on defense. Hunter didn't look fast at all against the Tigers. Nothing new on offense - Ashland's been giving up big plays in the running game since week one against Greenup County. The Tomcats just aren't a physical football team. No real running game to speak of unless they can get Hunter moving around and throwing.
Way to go Ironton. Way to treat a Ky team lime they should be treated.

Last year's team was better because they had a big, bruising runner with Alber. They have no one who can compare with him this year.

against Russell, Ashland had 8 possessions. These resulted in 8 TDs, no punts, no turnovers.

That's just impressive, I don't care if it was against Russell. I think Ironton is going to have to step things up big time.
And the Fighting Tigers did! From where I sit, this was one of Ironton's best games since the playoff run of 1999.

I think we simply saw Ironton starting to play like they're capable of playing. The team has improved each week. This was a very good convincing win against a very good team

Congrats to the Tigers. I hope people that read these posts do not think all Ironton fans are as obnoxious as some of these that post on here. It is easy to lose a game and be a good sport about it but why can people not be the same when winning a game? Congratulate both teams and move on. Quit the stupid comments that are meant to be derogatory to the other team. This is high school football and the boys leave it on the field, so should the fans.

I know one thing for sure. The radio announcer for the Tomcats sure is a whiner.

I am a WestSider. I work in Ashland and I have heard all week how Ashland was going to dismantle Ironton. I told the people I am not from Ironton I am a Portsmouth West fan and the response has always been you don't want any either this year Ashland is for real. Well I sure am glad that is settled, congrats Ironton on bringing another victory in for the Buckeye state. Hope to see you guys in the playoffs!

Great win by the Tigers they took control early and never looked back.
Ashland seemed to be out of the game before they ever started this is a Ironton team with speed to burn and the defence was a step above the best lastnight.
This team stays focused they can go pretty far to making a run in the playoffs.
