Does Ironton qualify for playoffs with win this week?
If ironton defeats Gallipolis this friday night, they will pick up a ton of playoff points. Would they clinch a spot in the D4 region 15 playoffs with 5 wins?

i have no idea , i would not think so this early. we have a stacked schedule in front of us, and this is only week 5, besides that kind of thinking will get you beat for sure.

It's still to early to tell what will happen. The Tigers may just be an injury or 2 away from a rough season. It is hard to predict the playoffs this early. I think Ironton has an inside track and if they keep playing like they have been they will make it in and hopefully make some noise.

NUT'S anything can happen, like an injury.

Practically speaking, no way Ironton gets in with only 5 wins. There might be some mathematical chance but I sure wouldn't want to bet on it.

You guys should go ahead and lose those last 5 games just to see if it can happen. That would show the rest of us. J/K I guarantee you that they will make it at 9 wins though so they can feel free to lose that 10th game to Portsmouth. Hahah
In all honesty Ironton could probably make it with 6 wins, but I think 5 although mathematically possible would be a stretch.

um...no, unless everyone in r15 loses their next 3 games.
A lot of variables to consider, but if you were to assume that Ironton's next 3 opponents (after this week - JA, Jackson, & BH) don't lose before their matchup with Ironton, Ironton would need to win 1 of those three games; plus this week. Seven wins should (if my quick math is right) guarantee them a top8 finish.
If the same circumstances apply as in the above scenario, Ironton will lock up a 1st round home game by winning this week and the next three. However, this is putting the cart WAY before the horse and assuming that these teams will not drop any more games before their game(s) versus the Tigers. The next 4 opponents combined records is 13-3. This may be the toughest stretch of games Ironton has faced in recent memory.

tonights win over gallia let them enjoy, taking it slow, showcasing other talented players, and still defeating a good undefeated gallia team.. a ton of points people. I dont bet, but id say, it keeps them close to the eight position, no matter what happens from here on out. I really dont think they still have hit their potential. alter, hartley, and jackson loom. The main thing is no injuries. No one is seriously injured. one back stayed out smartly due to late game cramping and has been having special training with the teams specialists. the next two alder and hartley bring playoff scenarios quickly to the tank. They could win one or both, or lose... Id bet lutz has them ready to go and lets the state know, they are about ready to come out the region and challenge... heres a toast to that and injury free to all....

who cares ironton will win 8-10 games anyway if they take it one game at a time and play their hearts out against every opponent
