It quote good ole jim ross. This game will be a real slobberknocker!

Minford will be comin into this game off a 13-0 win over reg 19 fav oak hill while the burg will be comin in off a 33-0 win over rock hill. But throw the 5-0 minford record and the 3-2 burg record out the window because none of it matters. Both teams could be 5-0 or 0-5. Either way this game will be hard fought between two great teams.

With that all bein said i'm takin burg in another low scoring classic 21-14

It wasn't just one guy, Maynard was out also. Our top receiver and second leading rusher. Yes injuries are part of the game and you must deal with them but I keep seeing one guy wouldn't make a difference. Yea if Slone played there would have been different things that happened. Not saying we would have won the game but things would have been different. And when you have Slone and Maynard in there it would have been really different. Goodluck to both teams next week. I think it will be a great game!

With him in we were still going to win. I wish he was going to play. Now, the only reason we win is because he isn't playing. Just wait till after the game and read the posts.

I know this is Minford Burg just have to say one more thing about OH. Slone can only do what he does so well by having a good line in front of him. OH fans need to give credit to all the players for being a good team not just one person. If one of our boys (Minford) gets hurt I sure hope our fans stand behind our team not just one person.

The way i see it ,if minfords QB and lets say a couple of their running backs were out and they lost they would be the ones crying.so all this crap from minford posters tellin oakhill posters to quit whining and making excuses is a load of crap.look on here in a couple of weeks after west kicks the crap out of them and we will see some crying.

Is this still the Minford @ Burg post or Minford vs the world post. We are focused on Wheelersburg this week and thats it. We don't care how we won last week a win is a win is a win.

I have to say in Reading these Posts I hear a little bit of Arrogance from the Minford Posters.
Just want to be clear on one thing here....... You Minford Fans believe Had Sloan and Maynard been 100% in last Fridays Game the outcome would have been the same????? Because thats what I'm hearing here.
It was a great Win for the Falcons, I would in NO way take that from them "A Win Is a Win" But Come on!!!! A DI College Prospect!!!!! Lets Make Sure We don't take that away from Sloan either.
I know this a Burg/Minford Thread So I hope for an Injury free Game and I think Burg has a slight Edge in this One Though.JMO

I guess the only way we will know is a rematch week 11 or 12. To many variables to worry about.

I didnt make that statement bud...I am crazee-oakaholic...a different user(oak_a_holic)said that..not me..all I meant by that was people were saying Slone would not have made a difference and I said Slone and Maynard definitely would have. Even Minford fans agreed! And anyone who has watched Oak Hill football knows that both of them in the game would have changed things. So dont tell me to ''cork my pie hole'' by taking what I said on this thread and going and getting something another person said on another thread. Learn to read the user names before you type.

The Oak Hill vs Minford game is over with and done. The past is the past. You can't go back and change a thing. Why don't everyone just drop it or post it on the Oak Hill vs Minford thread?

I was talking about offensive statistics, had nothing to do with saying our kids did not play hard, they will always give 100%. Don't try to distort what I was trying to say. I was only talking about yds statistically, not players not giving it their all.

what ?? where did THAT come from? i've read this whole thread and i haven't seen where anybody said it was minford's fault that two of OH's most productive players were out.... they have just stated it as FACT.
and if you don't think two of your best players can make a HUGE difference, then take out your QB (who isn't even a D-1 prospect) and second best back and receiver and let me know how much you'd like to bet on the game this week. i sure could use a pile of coins.

Well I guess someone could say that it was Minford's fault that Maynard went out in the first series with a separated shoulder/ broken collar bone, but you're missing the point. Any coach has to have his team ready if this happens. Sure, if W'burg lost Shankweiler it would make a difference. If West lost Pendleton it would make a difference. If Valley lost Yates it would hurt them, and so on....But, don't sour grape about it as every team has to deal with injuries. It is football after all.

What I don't like is that Minford pitched another shutout and then you start hearing excuses. Minford's starting defense has only given up 21 points thru 5 games. So, if Minford lost the game it would have been because Oak Hill was so well coached they overcame their adversities? Give credit where it's due.

I see Minford dominating the line of scrimmage and moving the football. I also see them shutting down Burg's running game by focusing on Shankweiler. Even though he is going to get yards, they will make Burg put the ball in the air and make another RB pick up the slack. Same thing they did against Oak Hill.

Burg is a tough place to play, so I will go out on a limb and say:

Minford 24
Burg 14

I know this is minford -burg thread ..BUT i got to put my 2cents worth in ....went to the game Minford beat down the oaks.blow after blow #2 got put out early.#32 is one hellav a back..it just shows when u start playing good teams week by week its tuff...Minford has.The oaks are not,, just look wellston ,,Burg,Minford..SOCII doesnot compare to SOCI.. good luck to both teams....u play big games every week it wears on u..and when u are up by 20-30 let your back ups get work instead of padding states....
