Im hoping the Trojans are ready to get after it Friday Night. The key will be for our offensive front to keep our offense on the field. Defensively we have proven that we just cant stop people. A couple of big plays on the special teams, and a turnover bouncing in the right direction and who knows. I think Portsmouth will play a much better game this Friday and keep it close. Then let the chips fall where they will in the end. Remember young Trojans, this is the team that knocked you out of any playoff hopes in 09.

Yield, You got to be kidding me! You must be from Portsmouth because a statement like that is just to try to fire up those kids, no one in their right mind will believe that a game this important against to rivals will be done in the first quarter!! This game will go right down to the wire.

It has come down to the wire the last couple of years and it probably will again. Portsmouth has the home field advantage and that always seems to help. Good luck to both teams and GO JACKSON!!!!!!!!

If the Ironmen continue to play with the intensity they have shown the past few weeks, they should do very well. I have really enjoyed watching these kids play this year (other than the Wellston game!). The coaching has been top-notch, the players have been out there flying around making big hits on people. We can't afford to get lulled into thinking again that a game is all wrapped up before it is even played.

Yes Sir, it is fun watching the Ironmen. I really believe that the Wellston loss was the biggest win for Jackson this year. Got it out of the way early. And hats off to Wellston, they deserved the win. It was also probably good for the rivalry because it may influence both schools to continue the annual game. I was afraid if it kept up, (Jacksons dominance) the game would be replaced with another team. (Oak Hill???) Having said that, the Jackson/Wellston rivalry is OUR rivalry (Jackson countians) These other SEOAL teams are who we really want to beat. Having met, fed and given rides to several of the players, I can testify that these boys are genuinely bought into a first class program. Not only the Hall's, but the assistant coaches are class acts. This team is being compared to a couple past teams from what I read on this blog. High school teams that prepare like college teams and have equipment and facilities that compare to college teams are the ones that end up going deep into the playoffs. Look out Division III.

Less than 24 hours until game time. The Ironmen need to be focused on one thing...and that is coming back to Jackson tomorrow night at 3-0 in SEOAL play. Portsmouth is gonna be ready to play, so the Ironmen need to match their intensity and get off to a great start. Take control of the game early, and never let up. Let's go, Ironmen! BEAT PORTSMOUTH!!!

Portsmouth Trojans will be without their starting QB,and without their Back up Q B , they will have a frehsman playing QB,that has never played Varsity.

on top of that they have 3 other starters out, including the startiing running back

This is not true at all. I don't know where your info comes from but no freshmen is starting at QB.

If we are down our first two QB's, it will really be difficult for the Trojans in this game.......the defense is just going to have to step it up, force some turnovers, and the special teams have to make some big plays.

GO TROJANS!!

I think the ironmen are going to keep it going and I also do not think the trogans can stop king arthur I think he will break huge runs off as he has done the past 4 weeks and he will have 3 td's Portsmouth may keep it close for the first quarter but coach hall will make the adjustments and j-town will flat out play the trojans

That may not be true yet, but if they keep Mason Jordan running the option that Meyers ran, he won't last long. He isn't built like Meyers and won't be able to take those hits. He needs to either pass or hand off the ball. I didn't go to last weeks game, but I was told he ran a lot of keepers and got banged up pretty good. I hope the coaches keep this in mind in their play calling.

Portsmouth down 14-6 throws a deep ball that seems to intercepted by McNelly but then Portsmouth receiver takes it during the landing and Portsmouth with ball on 16 yard line with 37 seconds.....McNelly then intercepts his 4th pass of the year and then with just 26 seconds left Klay Arthur runs for 67 yards and is at 180 yards at the half.

21-6 Ironmen

Isn't Jordan out for this game?
