Haven't seen Wellston play this year but I believe they underestimate Alexander. That will be their down-fall. I pick Alex in a close game.

I think they will too Dilli! Wellston has a chance at the playoffs if they win out. Big Big game, dont think they will underestimate anyone.

PLAYOFFS!!! , PLAYOFFS!!! , who said anything about PLAYOFFS.

Lets dream big here, "IF" Wellston wins out and ends up 6-4 and they keep riding on the coat tail of Jackson winning out to get those secondary points. At best they get in at a 7th or 8th seed just to face Ironton or Portsmouth West in the first round. Why would Wellston want that punishment for there boys.

I don't wont to sound harsh but there is a thing called reality and that would be reality. Punishment!

There is very few thems that belong in the playoffs at 6-4, Wellston is not one of them. Sorry.

Wellston needs to focus on winning out but should'nt even be considering PLAYOFFS.

This has to be the C' Mon man quote of the week. Great job Beagle.

Wellston should worry about the schedule ahead of them and focus on the task at hand. The comment from ontheriver is absurd and ridiculous. Every team strives to make the playoffs! Wellston has been punished for the last 3 years. I dont think they are worried about punishment. This is a program dedicated on improving! Please make intelligent post.

ontherive, I don't understand what you trying to say?...making the playoffs is a big deal no matter who you have to play or how good they are. any team can win a game on any given friday night, it comes down to who comes to play and prepares the best for that team, those two teams are great teams they'll probably make it to the 3rd or 4th round or farther. But for now Wellston has four more games two worry about starting with alex. if they can get the line going and the play calling right, this should be a fairly easy win for the rockets! rockets-35 alex-7

Hey guys dont pay any mind to ontheriver ,
He has knocked on Wellston all year.To say that to make the playoffs is a bad thing ,well that about say how much he /she knows. After the last three years the kids of Wellston want to make the playoffs no matter who they have to play. Wellston has had a tough schedule and still have had their chances to be better than 2-4 at this point in the year. The combined record of the teams we have lost to is 19-5 . Wellston wins out and goes 6-4 regardless of if they make the post season or not will be a big boost for this program under the new Coaching staff.
First and foremost they need to take care of buisness friday night and beat Alexander. this other stuff will all fall in to place in due time.

GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with you, boilermaker. Wellston needs to get a win this week to gain some much needed confidence back. Ontheriver, just stay off wellston threads all u do is try to knock our team anyways. No one wants to what you have to say, especially when ur knocking a "high school" team.

I don't think either of these teams has been full strength since week one. This is a huge league game for both programs, and I definitely don't see either program taking this one lightly. I think Boilermaker is right: it will take all 4 quarters of effort in this one, for both teams. I'm looking forward to watching a great game.

Joe Eitel
Division IV Region 15:
#7 5-1 Albany Alexander Avg=6.9167 1st level=20.5 2nd level=35.0
#13 2-4 Wellston Avg=5.0333 1st level=9.5 2nd level=34.5

Calpreps projection: Wellston (OH) 34-17

I'm picking the Alexander Spartans to win this one. Good luck to both teams and see you at the game.

Alex will be ready for the Rockets. Their coach has done his homework and knows what to expect.
I'm hoping our staff will open the playbook, but the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. Hope I'm wrong, fear I'll be right!
