OVC: Fairland (3-4; 2-0) @ Chesapeake (2-5; 2-0)
Re: Week 8: Fairland (3-4; 2-0) @ Chesapeake (2-5; 2-0)
No, because every week you come on here offering your "expert" opinion on how nobody can beat Coal Grove..No matter who's post it is. Give these kids a break. CG will probably win the OVC. But lose first round of the playoffs...cause they just arent that good either. Keep the CG posts to CG. Thats all i'm saying. Take it for what its worth. You havent played Fairland or Chesapeake yet.

No, on the Chesapeake/RV thread, dime said he thought Peake could run the table. I disagreed and for some reason you both took offense to that. You guys are the ones who refuse to let it die. As i said earlier, we'll find out in the next few weeks. I'm willing to leave it at that. I agree with you about CG - they probably aren't good enough to go far in the playoffs - we'll find that out, as well. Dime acted like he didn't agree with anything Ive ever said on here when the only thing we disagreed on was the parody of the OVC. It's not the end of the world - a difference of opinion on a forum for voicing opinions. I have always found Fuzzys' posts pretty insightful actually!I think he knows what hes talking about most of the time!Hey I admit there have been times I have been wrong and I am sure he would to!You know the old saying about opinions though LOL!What is said here has nothing to do with the actual game,The players on the field will decide that!
Re: Week 8: Fairland (3-4; 2-0) @ Chesapeake (2-5; 2-0)
Thanks earp. I'm glad you think I know what I'm talking about. Truth is, I'm not any sort of "expert" and you'd be crazy if you thought I was. As I said earlier, all I do is go to the games and watch the kids play. I've been lucky enough to watch every team in Lawrence County except Fairland this year - some teams, twice or more. I know what they do. Everyone in the OVC knows that Chesapeake runs the double-wing. Everyone knows Rock Hill likes to pass more than other teams. Everyone knows that Coal Grove likes to pound away at you up the middle. I'm definitely not smarter than any fan of OVC football, I just like to base my predictions on what I've seen on the field. I enjoy OVC football. If I didn't respect these two teams and this rivalry, I wouldn't have started this thread.
All that being said, I like Fairland in this game because I don't think Chesapeake has a difference-maker on offense like Fisher. I wouldn't be shocked if Chesapeake wins though. Anything goes in this rivalry...

Adam Lee will not play football beyond high school. He has nowhere near the talent one needs to compete at the next level. He doesnt even have the potential to become a decent football player. That article was pathetic. Chesapeake will win 20-14.

haha! I love how people get all butt-hurt when someone disagrees and says their team MIGHT come just short of walking on water. Get real, it's a game and this is forum.

Just remember,,,everyone thought that Fairland was going to dominate Peake last year and we saw what happen.fuzzhead wrote:Honestly, I'm mostly just going with my gut instinct. I should have gone up and watched the Dragons play Friday and I didn't. That being said, I know what Chesapeake brings to the table and I know that Fairland has a pretty good QB and it sounds like they have a decent line. I think this one could be a shootout.

I think the game will be higher scoring than 17-15 unless the weather is bad then it could be around that score I think!

I have always respected Fuzz's opinion. We have had our go rounds but he is always very respectful. You have to give it to the guy, he travels and watches a lot of games, have to appreciate the insite he brings. He has always spoken very kindly/highly of the 10 year domination Chesapeake had over the OVC, and is pretty objective in most cases. Wish he would come over to the college board more.
This will be my first time seeing the Peake this year. Good luck to them.

Peake, I would come over to the college board more, but the sad truth is I just don't follow it as closely as I used to so I wouldn't be able to carry on an intelligent conversation. I still do read it a lot but I leave the talking to the people who know what they're talking about.
I hope you enjoy the game. Maybe I'll see you there.

I believe that the Panthers defense is fast enough to contain Fisher, if Fisher doesn't have a good game then I think Peake wins this easily.

21 12 peake, chesapeake was up 21 0 with 230 in the 2nd and then turned it over twice and let them back in. chesapeake has turned it over 4 times
