Very true. Region 19 is very tight again this year and every 0.1 counts!

At the end of week 10, that game will be worth .5, 1st level points, but they be glad they have them. Two others in this region have the same situation with Waverly. I cannot believe the got beat by Vinton County, that would have been another D-3 win for everyone. A team usually has to win at least 3 games to make them worth while. The SOCII already has NW and Waverly football from the Jr. High ranks (Not enough kids to even field a 7th grade team) thru it's Sr. class isn't looking very good. I'm afraid this may be an ongoing trend for the Tigers.

Vladimir,

I spent the last two weeks watching a 7th grade and then the 8th grade play. Have a daughter so have to be there. Thursday they have a 7th and 8th grade game again starting at 5:30 I believe it is Portsmouth.

I know three weeks ago they did not play a 7th grade game becasue Valley did not have one.

I also know for first hand they have 80 kids in there tackle youth leauge 4th-5th-6th.

^ I know they didn't have a 7th grade team, or that's at least is what they said, when they came to Minford in early September. Minford does have a 7th grade team, and a game was scheduled, but no Waverly 7th.....Only the 8th played at it was 30-0 at half, 36-16 Final.

That is the same thing that happened against Burg. I believe it was 38-6.

All I know is that they have a 7th and 8th grade team for the last three games. That is all I can attest to.

Anyway, Waverly too young now. Good luck to Burg in their hunt, and stay healthy.

^ I do believe this is a pattern burg may be in the next 2 yrs. 11th and 10th graders not coming out for whatever reason. But they have a really good frosh down to 5th grade squads that will lift us back. Just maybe 2 yrs of heck b4 its over, but who knows, certainly not me.

I think this is another week where Wheelersburg continues to improve, leading up to the showdowns in the final two weeks to decide the SOC II. I look for Burg to win this game by a bunch. Good luck to both teams on an injury free game.

it won't be a "no" points game. they will get points for defeating a D3 team if they win.

5/8= 0.625 first level points is what they'll get . PHS, Rock Hill, NW will not win. Fairland is a maybe with Chesapeke. Minford is the only for sure win this week. I said since after week 2 Burg needs to win out to make it in. After this week, Burg will have 9.775, if Fairland doesn't make it by Chesapeke, and will probably drop to 9.
Good information right there Vlad. I guess the burg shouldn't have scheduled up against all of those D3 and D4 powers that can't win and help them KVDW? LOL

^ W'burg still has Valley and West, so it's simple for them win both, home playoff game, lose one stay at home week 11.

This one is going to be ugly boys. The kids from Waverly better strap up those helmets and go play for four quarters and not give up. You never know what can happen. But I'll take 'Burg by 4 TD's plus.

35-0 was the last I heard. I think that was in the 3rd.

Any stats? How many yards did Schankweiler end up with? He only needed 110 to hit 1000.

i tell ya ,im a huge waverly fan but this is getting old!!!I know I know my first post and im beating a dead horse but waverly could go 0-10 for the first time (i think ever) !!!! Come on are you kidding me!!!The culture of waverly football needs to change IMO, I pretty sure but one of the best football minds waverly has is coaching 6th graders...has anyone stopped and asked why the he** is that happening?? My opinion is that the culture change has to start at the AD and work down to head coach.
AM I THE ONLY TIGER FAN WHO FEELS THIS WAY??
This is no disrespect to the tiger faithfull and"some" of the coaching staff but why cant we get the best athletes waverly has to offer on the football field and coach them up for crying out loud?

You have some valid points there but don't forget that Waverly has a top soccer program. Their program draws a great deal of the better athletes from the school and always has.
