This will be a battle in the trenches. If valley can give Yates time to throw then they will have a big advantage. Shank will make plays just because of the outstanding athlete that he is.
Valley 28
Wheelersburg 24

On behalf of all the folks (and there are many) from West that I call friends and family, I'm not even gonna post anything negative as a response...though I was at first inclined to. But, the bottom line is, it wouldn't change anything. Hope all stays well with you, westsidelarry :122249

As of the present moment, the SEOPS picks contest has 52 people picking Burg to win and 26 picking Valley with several still waiting to pick. Personally, I don't care who picks who, I'm just trying to figure out a way to get out of having to work tomorrow night!!!!! (Calling off isn't an option)

Should be good football weather. Crisp and clear tonight.

Should be a very exciting football game. Both teams can put up the points in a hurry. Could come down to a FG as time expires to win it.

Hope for an injury free game and may the best team win. Remember, you win with class and you lose with class. After is all said and done, the losers need to get on here and congratulate the winners on the victory and leave it at that.

Good luck Pirates. Would be nice to have another first round playoff game

Yep, if Burg loses tonight, they will have to win against West and then play the waiting game on whether or not they make the playoffs and at that they will be on the road.

21 - 14 @ half burg up I don't think they will shorten the game like west.

35-28 Final and it pains me to say...Valley
Typical valley come back in the second half. Historically are slow starters... minus the CG game from what I saw if that team shows up watchout!

Anyway here's to injury free hard fought football! I suspect regardless of score we will all again be impressed by the effort and talent in the S.O.C.

For West to have a chance at the gold football we need Valley to loose a game, so...

GO BURG

I can't believe I thought that much less said it.

Is this game on the Valley network? When will the replay go up?

can there be any doubt as to the outcome of this game ? with BY FAR the best Valley team to be fielded in decades, if not EVER, and touting the best QB in decades, if not EVER.....playing against a mediocre 6-2 Wheelersburg team on VALLEY'S HOME FIELD...... can there be any doubt ?
not to mention the fact that CalPreps has picked Valley to win....
not to mention the fact that this is a " kick out the incumbent" year.

can there be any doubt?

however, an interesting side note to jesco white's post above is the fact that of the TOP TEN LEADERS in the pick'em contest, nine of them have picked wheelersburg to win. :122246

do they know something the rest of us don't know ???????

So when did Wheelersburg become "mediocre" all of the sudden.... They lost to a VERY GOOD Ironton team in week 1, and a VERY good Oak Hill team by a TD..
