I thought ironmen played ironton lol they are a pretty good team and they beat both chilli and gallia this year. This jackson team is not the same as when they got beat by wellston it gave them a reality check that anybody can beat you and if kip can not go against gallia there will be more running out of the qb spot which is not all that bad but still need a legit passing threat so they dont load everbody in the box i still think jackson will win

that 95 game was a the best game i every been a part at gahs, jackson was ranked in the state and destroyed everybody they played until they came to gallipolis, they pretty much stopped us in the first 3 quarters and was up 13-0 we came back in the 4th and scored a touchdown but missed the extra point 13-6 we held jackson on a 4th and 5 i think and then they held us we punted and recovered the muff punt and drove it down and scored with a minute 30 on the clock we went for 2 and got it, it was the first and only time i ever heard the fans from the field the old blue bleachers were rocking the field was stormed and mighty jackson was beat, in 3 years of varsity football that was the best game i ever been in! :122245 this years game should be close but im giving the edge to gallia because jackson usaully doesnt play well a gallia and the field will be a mud pit and jackson hasnt played on a mud pit yet this year, i just wish we would not were the black pants, its not part of the school colors and it dont seem right, every all blue or blue and white thats just my thoughts

(I REPEAT NOTHING!!!!)now that their qb is injured they should be easy to figure out.sory jackson you played only two team that were worth mentoning 1 welston 2 chillicothe and now you can add gallia to that list gallia wins the seoal and heads for week 11 GO DEVILS!
What a stupid post. There is absolutely no logic or reasoning with this post. Jackson's starting QB goes down with an injury and his replacement drives the team down field to a score to bring the Ironmen to within a point. Jackson goes for two and Chillicothe can't stop it. Give me a break.

That game in 1995 was an awesome game. However the best Gallia and Jackson game has to be the 2004 game. Jackson was undefeated, having homecoming, and dedicating their new stadium. Gallia was struggling at a .500 record if I remember correctly. It was supposed to be the year that the streak was broken. Long story short Gallia shocked the state with a 14-13 victory.

Hopefully we can have an injury free slober-knocker at Memorial, maybe one for the ages?? Go Blue, Beat Jackson...

This seems to be a classic SEOAL Championship tilt.
For Gallia Academy to upset the league unbeaten Jackson team they will most likely have to open the offense up a little,Jackson boasts the best Defense in the league and was able to go toe to toe with Ironton who ran rough shod over our boys.I don't think we can get into a low scoring slugfest with Jackson. They are just too physical and in years past we do not handle physical teams well.
If we throw the ball much Our QB cannot throw interceptions or this one will get ugly early! Having Golden back means a lot especially against a physical team.

So come on Blue Lets bring it home League champs and Playoff Bound!

There are 2 playoff spots left gallia could lose and still get in just needs help
(12)kenton ridge 6-3 plays at Tippecanoe 8-1 then theres (9)washington courthouse 7-2 playing miami trace 2-7 lastly (7)dayton dunbar 6-3 at medowdale 1-8. Out of the 4 gallia is the only one that controls its own destiny I would like to see gallia in the playoffs the more seoal teams the better but im still going to be rooting for my ironmen friday night GO RED BEAT THE BLUE DEVILS!

I'm not one to bash someone else's opinion, but this is ignorance. Winchester is important to the Ironmen squad and he does a lot of things both on and off the field that most people don't recognize, but he isn't the only player on the 50 man roster. Klay Arthur and Drew Ervin are arguably the best one, two runningback combo in southeastern Ohio. The offensive line is one of the best top-to-bottom offensive lines anywhere south of Columbus and east of Cincinnati. And the energetic defense of the Ironmen has made opposing offenses tremble. This is a team thats overcome obstacle after obstacle the entire season and beat some real good high school football teams doing it. They've beaten good Warren and Logan football teams. They've sneaked out wins against powerhouse Ironton and a very athletic and well coached Chillicothe Cavaliers team. So whether or not Winchester is in the equation or not, this is a very talented Jackson TEAM. And I expect Friday night to go down as an Instant Classic.

Good luck to my Ironmen (no disrespect to GAHS, but i cant wish you any luck in this one).
I hope for an Injury free, clean, hard-hitting, hostile football game on Friday Night.

Winner of this will play Roger Bacon....Jackson has a decent shot of getting them in Jackson

Jackson loses they will travel to Springfield Shawnee

If Gallipolis loses they will finish 9th

How's that for jumping ahead!

That pretty much sums it up, unless something unexpected happens to the other contenders in Region 12.

I know it's probably not too hard for the kids on either team to be focused on this game, but I can't help but think they all have to be going crazy waiting on Friday to get here. So much at stake, a rivalry game of this magnitude, and several interesting subplots. If this game lives up to all the hype surrounding it, it will undoubtedly be a classic.

I want to also add to GAHS4Ever's post Not only did Golden get his first varsity start vs Jackson and win that year, he also played a few days early as QB of JV team which also gave Jackson first loss of the year on new field!! Imagine that Jeff Golden beat Jackson twice the same week on their new field.

Looks like Gods watering the "grass" all week at memorial.

man blue steel you sure live in the past....lol how many points do you get from the past???? i think the all time scoring difference in the 80 odd games that the teams have played is less than 10. and galli leads the ironmen by 5 games in win/lost record.......can't wait until fri.....

Its what is called tradition. The sport would not be near as much fun if there were no such memories. This applies to all fans of all teams, the stats you posted makes my point. Looking forward to a great game friday night, hopefully on a decent surface, but if its not both teams will have to deal with it.

I for one would agree withe assesment that this post is the result of pure ignorance. Having seen both teams play this year, I think this is absolutely fabulous high school football! Both teams have an excellent chance of winning this game. I wish I could be there to see this one. Gallia is a much more balanced than people give them credit for. Jackson's two backs are outstanding downhill runners. #7 is one heck of a football player for Gallia but he is not their only weapon. Both defenses are stout! This all makes for tantilizing drama and great high school football...Oh yeah, and it is for a league title and the playoffs!! Congrats to both programs and goog luck!

No matter whether he plays or not, I hope the Winchester kids recovers from his knee injury, great kid!!!!!!
