D3 R12 #5 Jackson (9-1) @ #4 Eaton (10-0)
D3 R12 #5 Jackson (9-1) @ #4 Eaton (10-0)
Joe Eitel has Roger Bacon surpassing Eaton as Western Hills defeated Amelia a couple of hours ago.
SO unoffically it's Jackson at Eaton
Eaton is 20 miles west of Dayton in Preble county. Obviously I know little about them.....but looking at scores they played an easy schedule (hence the 10-0 record getting a #4 seed). Most of their wins were in dominant fashion according to the score...but the most impressive was a 41-8 win over a 6-4 D3 Lemon Monroe team who basically beat a bunch of 1-4 win teams. The one blurp on their schedule was a 9-7 win over a 3-7 D5 St Henry team.
On the flipside folks from Eaton could look atJackson's results and see our blurp being a 20 point loss to a 4-6 D4 team....but like Eaton's trouble game in week 2....our trouble game was in week 1. Our 3 OT win over 8-2 and Region 15 #1 Ironton is our best win (without that win we finish 9th about a 1/10th of a point behind WCH)...the 41-18 win @ a 7-3 D3 school is quite the way to go into the playoffs.
It appears to be a pretty close matchup of great offenses and solid defenses....they'll have the homefield...but I hope it has a good size visitor side!

sidenote: Suzie Forshey Leach and Mike Leach, former Jackson Ironmen, live in Eaton, Suzie is an optometrist in town.
If you are looking for a place to eat, of course their are plenty if you take a right on N. Fairfield Road right before Dayton, but if you want more of a local place go to the Eaton Place in Eaton.
It is a heck of a drive.

It's officially Eaton.
OHSAA site has Harbin ratings totals posted through 10 weeks, as of 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Good luck Ironmen.
You are the only representative from the SEOAL this year, a first since Gallia Academy went alone in 2005, so good luck. REPRESENT.

Eaton shouldn't be over looked they are a team that seems to get alot of transfers every year and sends a lot of kids to college.
That being said Jackson has a good chance for a win here being their kids have played together over the years.
Good luck Ironmen from Ironton

Re: Week 11 Jackson (9-1) @ Eaton (10-0)
I have contacts at several SW Ohio programs. My Eaton contact has told me the coaching staff has aid that Jackson was the one team in region 12 they were hoping to avoid.

I think you are mistaken on the transfers & college kids. Eaton is a farming community west of Dayton. Trotwood Madison is maybe who you are thinking of as far as the transfers & college recruits.
BTW, Not much seating on the visitors side of the stadium, but I have heard they may be bringing in some bleachers.

If Jackson plays anywhere close to the same power type game they played against GAHS they will roll easily. Jackson by 3 scores

I would like to welcome all of the Ironmen fans to Eaton, Ohio come this Saturday!
I have been reading several of your post and it seems that you have a passionate communtiy that supports your team.
If you plan on getting to town a little early and want to have some dinner, you should check out Jell's Sports Bar or the Red Mule. The Eaton Place that was mentioned earlier closes at 4 PM.
As far as having transfers come to Eaton, no such thing. We have 100% farm raised, corn fed hometown boys. We are quite proud of that.
Congrats on winning your league outright! The recap of that game was impressive. I think we will have to put 11 in the box to stop Arthur and Ervin.

I guess I am use to going there on weekends. It is well worth getting there early for the pie though.
