I don't think that the milk jugs will be allowed to be used. I believe that the OHSAA has a rule about noise makers.

Nothing better than some good jug shaking going on in the stadium.

I heard Ridgewood fans like to bring the cow bells, fitting since they are from "cow country."

Big key to the win; Reinhardt,Prater,Hudgel,Conkey, and Brown. O-Line's made big strides since early in the year and hope they keep it up under a large challenge from Ridgewood. Do the work and good luck.

You are exactly right! These boys have had an excellent season.

Forecast for Saturday - High of 42 and a low of 24. I would expect the temperature to be in the mid to lower 30's during game time!!

^^^ www.burgfan.com will get you closer but after week 10. He has 1400 yds rushing about 350 catching and 300 yds all -purpose.

Over 2000 all purpose yds and 25 td's.

Dont think he will be state but maybe region. A lot of good players in region. I think he wins region 19 of the year. Burg might not be in the playoffs if not for him. He is the best back I have seen at Burg, I played in the nineties.

Not the first time I've been called an idiot on here and IMO he is the player of the year.

To me, there are other things to factor in with the player of year. To me it is not all just about the numbers but the little things like how the player acts on and off the field and all I've heard about Brandon is that he is a class act. I don't see him showboating on the field and when he gives an interview on the radio, he gives out all the praise to his teammates.

Also you have to factor in, does the Burg, no. 1, win the SOC without him? Doubtful. Does the Burg go 8-2 and make the playoffs without him? Doubtful

Looking at the player from Ursuline, Teague i think is his name. Do they go 10-0 without him? Probably yes, because they would have just recruited in a back just as good as him. Do they make the playoffs without him? Same as above

So yes, you might think I'm idiot, but I'm an idiot who is able to give an opinion and I will stand behind that opinion.

Why don't you come down and check him out first hand? What is really sad is that because he isn't 6'2" and 225Lbs, he won't get a sniff from any of the big colleges. Schank can play at the next level and am looking forward to following him if he chooses to play after HS.

Like was said above and I've said it also and I've been watching Burg football for about 35 years, he is the best back I've ever seen at the Burg. The funny thing is that his all-purpose yards would be higher if they would kick the ball to him. He is to dangerous and has the potential to return the kick back for a TD that teams have been kicking the ball out of bounds, giving the Burg the ball on the 35 yaard line just because of him.

Shank will make 1st team all state probably but wont be D5 player of the year. Not an award usually handed out to SE Ohio players.

FIDO wrote:I think it will take a very powerful team to beat the Burg's line. They are the best I've seen in some time, at the HS level. I was impressed with them last year but even more so this year. I believe is they take care of the ball, they will be fighting for the regional title. I want to see them in a rematch with Oak Hill!!
West Pretty much owned them all night long. If im not mistaken, i think they stopped that shank dude 3 or 4 times behind line of scrimmage. You guys put way too much credit into the pirates line. That shank dude is why they are successful. Without him, then they wouldn't be as beasty as they are. West almost pulled a shocker, but they got a big head on them and shot themselves in the foot repeatedly by penalty's and miss assignments.

Wheelersburg won't make it as far as ya'll think.

I am not sure what game u were at but to say West beat our line most of the night is absurd! Just because Schank was caught a couple of times does not mean the Burg's line got beat. You can't teach skills like Schank has, you have them or u don't but a great line sure helps!!!!

From the sound of it, you was watching another game!
Burg was all about conditioning! Burg went down early and when west got tired Burg didn't! Burg came back and then some.
West caught a 2nd wind and then made a heck of a comeback but Burg's conditioning kept them strong and held off West's surge.
West has a great team, and I wish them luck in the playoffs!
