For real means they are solid with little weakness. Their only weakness might be depth, but their line and playmakers 1-11 on both sides of the ball are above average. Some teams have good playmakers but not solid top to bottom or have a glaring weakness.

Good luck Noles. If you're going to drive 3 hours to play some ball you might as well make it worthwhile. Kick the darn ball off and punch them in the teeth and see what happens. Scrap with them for 48 minutes and if you don't win then shake their hands, wish them luck, and head back home. You don't know this team and they don't know you, so you never know what can happen.

I have seen F-town once this year, and they are a good team, that is all I meant when I said they are for real. I believe they have as much or more talent than any team in the region this year. That being said, MC is very capable of pulling off the upset. If they can stay with them for a quarter ot two anything can happen. I really would be surprised if the score of this game is lopsided either way.

Anybody from Woodsfield making the trip? MC fans travel very well, but with it turning colder over the weekend, and it being a 3 hour drive, and the fact we are a decided underdog I think a lot of people will stay home and listen to it on the radio. If you're coming the best way to F'town is 77N to Newcomerstown Exit, SR36 all the way to Mt. Vernon (watch for 36 to turn off at Coshocton), then take 13 N from Mt. Vernon to F'town. Take the SR95 exit off of 13 and turn right. Their stadium is a few hundred feet off the exit on the right. Travel safely.

I would argue that MC glaring weakness is they have not played anyone as talented as Fredericktown... and they have lost 2 games and Freddies have not lost... Highland winning 38-7 tonight does not help the MC cause... Freddies did not play well at all in that game and still won...

Take a young team in West and turn that vs MC? No way. MC will compete. Pwest is a Soph/Junior laden squad. They made their mistakes. MC will make this a game.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out! Best of luck to MC, but I think Freddies roll!

That is totally wrong buddy. Magnolia, WV could beat anybody in R19. They are a AA WV school that was in the state finals two years ago, state semi's last year, and projected to be in the top four AA teams in WV this year. AA WV ball is comparable to anybody in R19. MC played with them for a while, but the game got away from them in the 2nd half. To say MC hasn't played anyone like F'town is wrong. The Freddies might be good, but they aren't championship quality. I watched them last year when they went 10-0 and they were good, but nothing MC hadn't seen before. They graduated the Hinkle kid who at that time was being recruited by Cincinnatti. They had depth and size on the line that allowed them to platoon offensive and defensive lines. That more than anything worries me about F'town.

Also if you start chasing scores that will get you in trouble. Because F'town beat Highland who beat West who beat.... all that is ridiculous. West's season was fried when they lost their blue chip recruit FB Pendleton in week 9. They had a playoff game sewn up by then. Plus F'town and Highland played in week 1 and the Freddies won by a FG. Teams can get better after week 1.

I wasn't implying that you really could look at who beat who and decide... I did see that MC lost to Magnolia WV but since it wasn't close I ignored it. A friend of mine coaches in South Charleston and has won 2 or 3 state titles in a row. I am sure Magnolia could win or compete with anyone in Region 19, but let's not get too excited about WV football. I guess MC pedigree over the last few years has not been of the quality I expect out of them to compete... Johnstown played them in 2002 and they were very good... haven't been that good in a while so that's why I am expecting a big Freddies win... I'll have to see what Fredericktown is feeling about the game. Good luck to MC and I mean no disrespect, just my opinion!

I don't know if MC can pull it off either, but I don't think they'll be outclassed. It will be decided in the trenches.

Listenin' to this on 93.5, but anyone can if they go to www.yourradioplace.com.

Fredericktown must have the real deal in the backfield. Kid just scored his 3rd TD to put Freddies (silly nickname) up 30-7.

Well, my friend, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Fredericktown is the team to beat in R19. Of course, they will meet their maker in Ursuline U, but for everyone, looks like the Freddies are the team to beat (and yes, that nickname is really silly!).

Freddies will be solid next season but they lose a lot of Seniors 10 on defense
