Taft will have the speed, but not the discipline. Massie takes the W.

If Massie is going to win state, this is going to be the year.

okay. yes taft has the speed, the strength, the power, and the athletism to come outa this game winners. taft has worked on discipline all year. this is the game that it will be tested both teams are cocky and very good. taft is going to prevail in this one. clinton-massie doesnt have a chance at stopping the tafts offense. taft has the win.

I like the enthusiasm, but there is no way Taft will be able to stop the power run attack from Massie.

The tank of a human they call Adolphus Washington will have a better chance at stopping it than anyone else in the state. Taft by 10.

Hell of a game by Taft! I give you boys credit! What a game.

Massie 21-20 on a missed 2pt conversion by Taft in OT

Wow, gutsy call to go for the win in OT.

Great performance by Taft, even if it did end in a loss.

Clinton-Massie is home territory for me. They're absolutely good - always a strong competitor - but I think they may have discounted Taft a little too much on their way to a "sure State Championship". BIG mistake looking ahead! They were lucky to pull out the win in this first-round game.

Now that Ironton is back to Independent status, I'd like to see the possibility of putting Clinton-Masssie on the Ironton schedule. Playing strong teams with good records is always a good idea!
Like Ironton playing Columbus DeSales and Cincinnati CAPE. If you win, it gets you great points -
If you lose, you learn a lot and gain valuable experience for playing your next game/next team.
But in the playoffs "losing" sends you home - so get your experience FIRST during regular season.
