NY BIG not just because im a big fan...NY schedule is in place for a reason..Please dont judge NY off the trimble game..Ny no pushover as the season goes NY gets stronger..NO WAY could wahama stop NY RUN GAME.
Re: TVC OhioChampion vs TVC Hocking Champion: Who would wi
Wahama has only allowed 53 points to be scored againt them through 9 games, with only Buffalo left to play. Average score for those 9 games is 45-6. I think Wahama VS Nelsonville would be a great game to watch.
Re: TVC OhioChampion vs TVC Hocking Champion: Who would wi
Great game to watch but now you're comparing wahama's schedule to ny's and not to be cocky, there's no comparison. Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing this game as well.

But you guys haven't played anyone. If NY got to play southern, Eastern, and the rest of the Hocking they wouldn't give up any points either. Step up and play some schools that are good, then compare stats with Nelsonville-York.wvguy wrote:Wahama has only allowed 53 points to be scored againt them through 9 games, with only Buffalo left to play. Criticizing Wahama for playing Eastern and the rest of hocking is rediculous. They are smaller than almost all of their opponents and still dominate. They are extraordinarily successful on the level that they are on. But, I guess they should go right out and schedule some triple AAA teams and while their at it, a couple of Division I and II schools in Ohio. Since we're on this topic, maybe the Ohio State Buckeyes should petition the NFL to allow them to schedule the Green Bay Packers or New Orleans Saints.

How many boys are in your school 10-12? I bet your about the same size as the rest of the TVC-Hocking. Don't go trying to make us believe that Southern and Miller are bigger than you. Scheduling and playing better doesn't mean bigger. You guys play Hannon and Buffalo in your non league this year. I know you have a fine tradition in football, but Wahama couldn't hang with Nelsonville-York.Mr. Wing-T wrote:Criticizing Wahama for playing Eastern and the rest of hocking is rediculous. Let me clarify what I meant by bigger. "Bigger" as in size of Wahama's athletes. For example, Eastern's front four on defense was much bigger than Wahama but their line still dominated the game. Not bad against a 7-3 Eastern team. Its a testament to their will, determination, and good coaching. Don't get me wrong, maybe Wahama couldn't hang with NY, but the fact that people are even talking about the match-up is more respect than WHS could ever hope for from the state of Ohio. The point I was trying to make is you can't criticize WHS for the teams they play because they are on the same level as those teams. A good example was the case with Marshall University in the late 90's and early 2000's. Every time Marshall would win a MAC championship, people would always come back and say "Well, they don't play anyone" or "their in the worst conference in college football", which are probably true statements, but prior to their string of championships, they weren't even in Division I-A, they were Division I-AA. For any team have success on their level, or to come up a level and dominate that next level, is no less commendable than someone in a bigger conference. What would be a disgrace, is if Nelsonville-York or Athens started scheduling the hocking teams, and gloating because they beat all of them... No hard feelings, Nelsonville-York has a fine program as well. I'm sure they will make some noise in the playoffs.

Not sure if this is 100% accurate, but according to online statistics, Wahama is a 7-12 school Jr/Sr. High school with a 9-12 population of 277. 10-12 approximately 190. Not sure what the other Hocking schools are. Hope that answers you're earlier question.

Wahama is about the size of Trimble, but most of the Hocking schools are very similar in size. There is more discrepancy in the TVC OHIO.

Athens is division II, NY-Division V. No surprise on the size difference.

Someone once told me the WV count is total enrollment....doesn't distinguish between boys or girls. If so, Wahama is probally smaller than most Hocking teams. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will know.

Be very careful about posting facts such as this, as some fans from a certain school will accuse you of not only beating a dead horse into the ground but of also degrading the accomplishments of kids.

NY would win this game by 2 tds, If the Trimble vs Wahama was played at the end of the year, The outcome would also be diffrent, Wahama should be thankful they got Trimble at the beginning of the year

You are right, we would have beaten Trimble way worse if we played later this year. Our coach always says "Excuses are reasons to lose." Sounds like you know something about that. Can't wait till next year.......lol
