D4 R15 - #1 Ironton vs. #4 Highland at Logan

funny how ironton and logan go at it on this board now they have to share a home for a night of football. an outstanding stadium to play in for sure.

The team name for Sparta Highland High School is the FIGHTING SCOTS - kind of like the team name for Ironton High School is the FIGHTING TIGERS!
Have any Ironton fans/posters deliberately misspelled/belittled THAT school's team name like Logan posters regularly do Ironton's and think it's a funny joke? How about if I call their team the "Logan Chieftoons - like the joke they are"?? Logan posters have no basis of complaint against Ironton posters, because they are at least as bad if not worse in the insulting name-calling department!!

Nothing easy when you get to the second round of the playoffs. I just hope to win. I don't expect a blowout by either team. Ironton needs to come out focused and fired up ready to play. Highland is going to come out fired up looking for revenge from last years beatdown they took. This year though they don't have a 3 to 4 hour bus trip to Ironton and we aren't playing at the tank. This is when you have to have all phases of the game at its best. I still think with our kicking game no game is going to be easy especially a 2nd round playoff game. When the average field position for your opponent is probably their 40 yard line at best maybe worse it puts your defense in a bad position. So we need to come out ready to play, limit silly penalties and no turnovers if we want to play next week. So no prediction but hope everyone has a safe trip to and from the game, an injury free game, and a Tiger victory. Hope there is a large crowd for both teams. Both deserve it. Go Tigers

Not sure if Logan is charging for parking, I think they are, but anyway. If any of you want to tailgate, you can use my lot (I live directly accross from the school), only hitch is, I get to tailgate with you...lol... I usually charge for parking, but, I tailgated last year with some of you from Ironton last year and had a blast, so I'm offering my lot for free. I only have one slot spoken for so far if my deal is acceptable from my buddy down your way... So, if you want to msg me about a tailgate, let do it... Also, when it comes time to leave, I guarantee you will leave my lot before you get out of the school lot...lol

This is a great post. One thing I would add is that Highland beat a West team that most in SEOPs thought would play the Tigers in the reg final. A big boost to their confidence. AHHH, but those Tigers will be ready!!! Congrats to the Sparta, but the ITOWN will be ready to rock and roll!!
