D5 R19 - #4 Minford vs. #1 Oak Hill at Jackson
D5 R19 - #4 Minford vs. #1 Oak Hill at Jackson
Minford bested OH 13-0 earlier in the year at Minford. I thought Minford won the battle in the trenches all night long. OH has some key players back for this rematch.
Who has the advantage in this one?

Thats pretty bold. Im leaning towards thinking OH wins a squeaker but a couple scores?fuzzhead wrote:Oak Hill should win by a couple of scores.

This should be a great game. Both teams are healthy and playing well.
OH wants a rematch with all their key players on board.
Minford is still looking for respect from the last meeting.
This will be a classic!

Re: Oak Hill vs Minford Rematch
I dont care who is taking the snaps if you are not getting it done up front, you are not going to win. Minford dominated the line and won the game against the Oaks.
Minford dominated a good NY line tonight and completely shut them down, while piling up a ton of yards of their own on the ground.
Sure Slone will make a difference. And Oak Hill is better than NY, for sure. But Minford is physical and is gonna show up to play physical football. And Minford hasnt forgot that Slone didnt play in that game if you know what I mean.
Should be a dandy. Anyone that thinks this game is going to be a blowout either way needs to put the crackpipe down. It will be a hard hitting contest and whoever wins up front will win the game (again). And I will say this, Minford made some adjustments with their personel against NY and I will tell you they are playing really well up front.

Should be a great game. Yeah Oak Hill had some key guys out the first time around, but, Minford controlled the line all night. Wouldn't have mattered if Jerry Rice and Steve Young were playing with the D-Line in the backfield all night.

Well, it's not exactly a long distance from Minford to Jackson either. In runners terms, not even a full marathon - maybe 23 miles? Not much home field advantage either way.

Jackson makes perfect sense for this game. No way should they play at Portsmouth. Oak Hill is the higher seed, so they should get to play closer to their home
Going to be hard to tell who will win with OH missing those key players the last time. Will they make up the difference?

Unless Slone plays on the line and pancake blocks for the Oaks, this will be another hard fought game
Re: Oak Hill vs Minford Rematch
I had a wish this would happen, and here it is . I am picking the Falcons to win this won, because of the injury factor took the respect out of the last win. It is gonna be a good one.
