wow, had to do his homework on us. i can live with the fact that he doesnt know that lutz has been our coach for over 35 years and we have run the same offense for that time, i can even live with the fact that he doesnt know that our coach is the all time leader in wins in the state, but why would you have to do your homework on a team you have already played this year. i would like to be a fly on the wall in pregame locker room.

you know how , when you fail a test at school, and you get to retake it again in a couple of weeks/...thats why he has to do his homework, he failed this test a few weeks ago, so now its back to study hall to see what he may have missed.

my money,says he fails again

The Bagboy has all kinds of 'nicknames' up north. River Rat, Muskrat, etc, etc. Last weekend again, he could hold his head high to his teammates because his alumni are still in the playoffs. Keep up the good work Tigers!

Best of luck to the Fighting Tigers. Your team has represented southern Ohio well for decades. Let's hope this year you can add another state championship.

i hope it happens but the only way i can see Ironton winning by 3 in OT is if Hartley kicks a field goal and then the Tigers score a TD.

( i would say that Ironton's kicking game is atrocious but then i would continue to be labeled a hater.)

this game will be very close this time. from what i understand ironton was the only team all yr to shut down their running back. very difficult to do it a second time especially on a turf field. having seen both teams play not against each other i would still give ironton a slight edge. But with that said i cant see either of these teams being able to hang with kenton or the university of dayton kettering campus in week 14. good luck to both,.

Kettering all over Alder 28 -14 in reg. 16....is it a matter of time if we do get Hartley a 2nd time? Not looking ahead btw just well...looking ahead but not in anyway that I'm confident of a win vs Hartley, looks as if the 2nd time good be a very contested and heated exchange. This one has MOMENTUM stamped on it. Hartley is gonna come out quick and try to assert itself and if Ironton counters and punches Hartley in the mouth quick it could become a comfortable game for the Fighting Tigers. If they start slow, if Hartley is allowed to execute a few big plays, particularly offensively, this game could be tight for the entirety. My call is Ironton 27 Hartley 21!

Good luck to Ironton. Your program has been a model for many in the greater Southeastern part of the state for decades. Believe me, my h.s. coaches very consciously shaped their program along the same lines with great success. Hope to see you earn the victory this Friday!

Read the picks for probable state champs on the "PUDDLE"! they completely left out region 15 winner, COMPLETELY FOCUSED ON ALTER & Kenton, & lightly mentioned regions 13&14!!

Hard to beat a team 2 times in the same season, but give Coach Lutz and his staff time to study the game films of the week 8 game and any other game films he may have recieved from other schools and the game plan could be very different this time around except for the big push up front that the line will give the backs, if I were a coach facing this man and his extensive football knowledge for the second time I would very worried, about the new wrinkles that this man can implement.

Championships & air attacks from KENTON are a usual deadly combo to other foes! BUT MY POINT WAS.... they basically named their favorites to take each division, but they atleast mentioned the names of the other schools in a regional final! They even by-passed Hartley & it was As if football doesn't exist south of Dayton! Heavy talk about the MAC! They deserve the recognition as they are successful! Seriously, division 6 schools that can compete in every division,& a roster of boys on a football squad that nearly equals half the male enrollment on many schools of that size!!!
Ya gotta give props to ALTER DEFENDING THE CHAMPIONSHIP & mauks ability! But after a quarter of all that passing,( when older bro ben was QB), it is just boring to watch, just as im sure it is for any team that IRONTON runs all night on, without needing to pass, YET!
Focusing back on this game: it will be closer than the first meeting, but I gotta go with the fighting tigers! Hoping for fair play, no injuries,& sideline attitudes in check as well as mental focus on the field!!!
Would love to see these boys get a regional championship, run run run to the final 4!!! Gotigersgogettheball!!!
