SOC 1 Predictions
Re: SOC 1 Predictions
Da Bears you should really stay on topic, but now that you brought it up I guess it's a good thing for Oak Hill that they won't have to play CG again for a long time as well, since they'll likely be contending for nothing but SOCI titles for years to come. Everyone wins: you can bask in the glory days of yesteryear, and Coal Grove can work on trying to get back to the playoffs - which won't include Oak Hill for a long, long time; maybe never again...
Re: SOC 1 Predictions
thats funny that oak hill has 2 good season and think there better then everyone its funny because coal grove's had good teams since around 79-11 and not to mention we have a hall of fame head coach and have always had great players.Da Bears wrote:The Oaks will be a little better than most think. One of the best linemen in the area regardless of school size, real good te coming back, and the fb/ber, I think his last name is Davis is a real nice player. Good thing for the Hornets huh fuzz. 84 - 26 in two playoff games!!
Re: SOC 1 Predictions
Oak Hill will reload. Im not saying they will have a record like the last two years but its not like they wont compete in games. New coaches mean new opportunities, and it may take a few years to get in the swing of things. They are a big team for the SOC 1 and have more depth than other teams. don't count them out of a winning season.
Re: SOC 1 Predictions
We Are ND, you are right. Oak Hill's first five games are Chesapeake, Burg, Rock Hill, Wellston and Minford. Tough sledding for a team that is smaller than every school mentioned. Plus, they could win 4 out of those 5 games, with Minford most likely being the loss. Then they get into the conference, which they could win 3 of those games if not all 4. And, you throw New Richmond in there. Oak Hill could win as many as 7-8 games again next year if everything goes well for them and barring any major injuries to key players.
Re: SOC 1 Predictions
Any school in this conference can compete to win it. Sure having depth in your roster or large amounts of talent help, but it starts with heart, the desire to not be beat, to not give up, and a team's hard work to improve.
