Re: Huntington Football 2011
I am not so sure he wouldn't have got his shot if he had stayed at Huntington. I think West Liberty has had two other players from Huntington on its rosters since Beeler has been there; obviously without even close to the same results as clay. I think a boy from zt also signed. Getting back to the topic, why would Huntington want a coach who took his own son to another school If they really want a Huntington guy. By the way, is Briedenbaugh a Huntington guy??
Re: Huntington Football 2011
Huntington wants a winner, Beeler has proven that he can build a athletic program from the ground up and win.
Beeler is a Huntington guy that has dedicated most of his life to the youth in our Township, don't bash him for doing the same thing any parent would have done to get there son or daughters college paid for.
Huntington's Record in the last 7 years 16-54 that speaks for itself!

I say let the guy have the job. Then when he fails to produce SVC championships for the same reasons other coaches haven't the daddy's on here ripping those other coaches will have a choice to make. They can either rip him with equal bitterness as they did the other coaches, or they can make excuses using the same reasons others are giving for the other coaches’ lack of success.doc.88 wrote:Huntington wants a winner, Beeler has proven that he can build a athletic program from the ground up and win.

Re: Huntington Football 2011
like I said before i think beeler should get it he knows the game and he could probably turn the program around.. But if Bridenbaugh gets it not saying he couldnt turn it around im just saying he needs to do do away with all the coaches and bring in new ones.. they got rid of the coaches that were there for a reason get new ones in that can get the job done! best of luck to whoever gets it though
Re: Huntington Football 2011
Anything new on this front? Heard some rumblings but can't get anything concrete.

Re: Huntington Football 2011
The HHS board of education interviewed 2 candidates after it's February meeting. Both were outstanding, and able to take over the program. Even though no one has been hired yet, a top candidate has been identified and hopefully will be the next Huntington head coach. Further details will be provided AFTER the board takes action at a future meeting.

I'm pretty sure I know who you're talking about, but does the school release names of the candidates?huntsmen wide wrote:I heard the the guy from logan elm was the real deal and the the board was looking into hiring him because he cam prepared and layed it alol out to them from the workout schedule and two a days.. he was a assistant under his dad and his dad rebuilt two teams so hope the best to who ever gets it

Is it true the teaching staff at HHS is upset because the Board is creating a position for the new coach?

Great hire for the Huntsmen. I have heard the other guy they interviewed might end up being one of Wades assistant coaches. This will be a great staff and sucess in the future for Huntington.

Re: Huntington Football 2011
The next scheduled Huntington Board meeting is March 29th in the high school library. A coach should be hired on that night. I will be the first to post who that will be, following board action.
Re: Huntington Football 2011
Heard last night that Huntington may be cutting up to 17 positions including teachers. Will this affect their hiring?
