I like Chillicothe ,they lost some close games last year. In Hintons first year they had ups and downs , now in year two he will have the bugs worked out. They will be tough on defense and consistant on offense.

Jackson is the top dog until someone shows us different. Chillicothe probably needs one more year of coach Hinton, but don't count them out. Also don't count Logan out. Gallipolis could be very good, or very mediocre.

Chillicothe wins three for sure, if the ball bounces perfect, they could win 6-7. They will be extremely young and will lose some games on youth and inexperience. But if that youth gets some wind behind their sails, look for them to beat some people they aren't expected to beat this year.....after that Katy-Bar-The-Door, Hinton and his staff will be rollin'!GO CAVS!!!!

P-town will be young and very talented
Logan will be rebuilding, but never count out their tradition of excellence
Warren must find weapons for the QB..questionable...
Gallia has to replace most of their offensive production
Jackson will dominate if they put a quality line in front of #7

Jackson does not lose more than one league game at the most, so the league will be won with one, or no losses. Everyone must keep pace with that idea in mind.

I think Chillicothe lost about 95% of their offense when coming to scoring.
Warren should have two receivers for the QB--going to be a lot of passing in Wtown
Gallipolis should have a strong line to preform bebind
With a lot of the line gone and Mr.O graduated Jackson just might slip to Third
Portsmouth will be young and it still comes down to their D
I'm looking for Logan to have a strong Running game-if they can get a QB they good win it.

I'm looking at a down year for the SEOAL overall which makes anything possible. An injury here or a fumble there, with no really good team back makes for a wide open affair. Non-league games will show whats ahead.

Remember this is only the middle of May, alot can happen b4 the start of the season!

1 Chillicothe - Hinton has laid a soild base.
2 Gaillipolis - Good coach, should compete with Chilli for the championship
3 Jackson - Strong program and a soild coach should compete
4 Logan - Kelly must junk the spread, need to return to old time football
5 Warren - Could battle Logan for 4th place
6 Portsmouth - If they could play defense they could finish above Logan

Will revist my predictions mid August

I don't see Portsmouth challenging for an SEOAL title until we can get defense back in our program........the 2011 offense should be quite good, probably averaging around 21-24 PPG, but it won't be enough if the D doesn't improve dramatically. Mason Jordan could very well end up being the best QB in the league.

I really think Portsmouth will surprise some people this year. There will be a solid amount of offense, as Trojan David said. We will have a great group of underclassman that will be called upon to step up this season. If they can answer the call we can be competitive. Most likely we are still a year away, but I think we can turn some heads this year. Looking for a .500 record or better if we can grow up quickly.

As for the d, I know several people have been critical of the 4-4, but I want everyone to remember how successful this same system has been in other years for the Trojans. I see no reason why it can't be again, if everyone buys into it, and learns their roles.

Portsmouth has to come back at sometime. We have been down far too long, it's time to right the ship.

The Ironmen football program is strong and getting stronger. With some new additions, the Ironmen will be a handful for every team in the SEOAL this year.

Jackson will hold their own with a fast physical fly to the ball defense. The offense has multiple weapons again this year so teams will not be able to concentrate on one or two guys.
From what I see I would be dissappointed and surprised if the Ironmen didn't make the playoffs and at the minimum a share of the SEOAL.
Chillicothe and Logan will be tough and looking to make some noise.
Gallia could surprise people and play spoiler to some good teams.
Warren is in for a tough year but will be concentrating on team development.
Portsmouth will put points on the board but will allow to many as well.
Looking forward to a great season of football!
GO IRONMEN!!

Noreply66. True the Ironmen did lose some linemen and mr.o. But trust me the line this year will be very good and trust me the O is still present.....My thoughts are that everyone else in the SOEAL better be ready.

The S.E.O.A.L was down last year and will be this year also, with the exception of Jackson. I think the league is theirs to win or lose depending on how they approach things. With the exception of Gallia Academy I see the other teams still in a position of rebuilding next year. With the talent in the backfield Jackson has assembled, the question for them this year is if they can win the second round game in the playoffs for the first time. The region is going to be pretty tough.

Looking at the Warren Warriors. Defense will be better this year LB's are going to be very good. Experienced d-backs some d-line that may have to go two ways, could be a sore spot. Offensive line will be more agile this year, better able to get to their blocks, passing game will/should be able to light it up on most people. Look for the Warriors to maybe suprise a few people and maybe sneek in there for fourth or maybe third, if somebody makes the mistake of looking past them or it just might be a bumpy night to play Warren. Some new staff members, at former receiver for Boise State, Shawn Taylor in the fold, some new faces on the sideline. Could be a solid outing for the Warriors in 2011.
Sure there will be detractors out there, but alas, such is life. But I would rather look at the glass as half full, rather that half empty.
;-) Love ya BLUE.

I say:
JAckson talent/experience/coaching
Warren experience getting better will surprise
Chilli good tough team with speed and a good qb
Portsmouth talent could finish here or last who ever knows with them
GA could move up one spot, lost too much speed must replace qb, fb, wb no speed to replace wilson and without him last year would have been a 500 season
