Re: Week # 2 Warren at Marietta
I think Henthorn is fine with it. He is a gamer and just wants to be on the field playing ball.

Re: Week # 2 Warren at Marietta
I don't think Marietta has much to lose, pin your ears back and get in Warren QB face. Also, mid 90's and humidity leads to big time cramping. Team with most 2 way players might be feeling it by 4th qtr.

Haven't exactly figured out what Marietta is doing...defense changes daily according to the players. Gaskins and Leach??? For some reason it's now the "chosen few." The coach is building "for the future" instead of playing his best players now.

Re: Week # 2 Warren at Marietta
Sounds solid for Warren's line and Marietta's isn't too bad either. I don't know all of Warren's backfield. So, this is Marietta's depth chart for offense then?:
Tackle-Cogswell jr 210 5'10
Guard-Edgell jr 330 6'3
Center-Kimbrough jr 275 6'0
Guard-Hedrick so 230 6'0
Tackle-Gaskins sr 220 6'1
TE-Spurr jr 175 6'2
WR-Wright so 6'1 195
QB-Futrell sr 6'1 167
TB-Baker 5'11 195 sr/ Gearhart 5'5 155
FB Leach jr 6'0 225
Sounds solid to me.

24-6 Warren. Half. Marietta need to move the ball. Pound the inside with that big fullback #6. Use your speed on the edges with #8 and #9. Warren is not killing Marietta but they do look good. The seoal better be nervous when playing the warriors. Lots of tallent all over the field. Go tigers!

8:15 left in 3rd. Tigers adjust well and two quick scores one long pass and a punt block td and it's 24-18 warriors. Keep digging tigers!!!!!

Re: Week # 2 Warren at Marietta
Too much Leffingwell, Fivecoait, Windland, Mays and Hastie...lots of weapons. Marietta never gave up but Warren was just overwhelming on offense. Every time the Tigers set up to stop someone the Warriors just went to someone else.
The 4th and long in the first quarter from around the 20 was HUGE! Gutsy call Coach Schob.

Re: Week # 2 Warren at Marietta
Marietta had trouble blocking and tackling all night. Not gonna win too many ball games like that.
