As much as I hate to say it Athens is the best team in the tvc ohio right now by a field goal and will be the best until someone knocks them off which may not be until week 10 next year. Ny was the best for 8 straight years and they will start the streak all over again this season.

Honestly I cant see Athens being that great this year, theyre graduating their whole team moreless and I heard there second string quarterback who showed promise is moving away. I guess they're at the top right now but I think that'll change once season starts I see them finishing 2nd or 3rd in tvc

The Dawgs will be heard of in the TVC. There are still some players at Athens.

As defending champs, the title is in Athens until someone knocks off the Bulldogs. Nelsonville-York is almost always in the title hunt, so you can't discount the Buckeyes. It will be interesting to see if Alexander or another school can jump in and make it a 3-team race.

Athens didn't lose their whole team - only a handful of skill players and a couple of linemen ... When your JV and freshmen teams go undefeated as well as the varsity - its a good bet you will able to fill the holes left by graduating seniors. Germano is in fact gone - but that only means freshman (or going to be sophmore) Joey Burrow will take over the reigns sooner than later ... Sharp is gone - but I wanted to see what Freddie Stalder could do with 10-15 carries per game anyways ... He's had to sit behind Sharp - but should finally get his chance next season.footballfam37 wrote:Honestly I cant see Athens being that great this year, theyre graduating their whole team moreless and I heard there second string quarterback who showed promise is moving away. Going 10-0 again would be hard for any team - of course the same expectations aren't there ... But contend of a TVC-Ohio? definitly.footballfam37 wrote:Im not saying they'll be bad but I don't see them repeating what they did last year

100 Meter dash:
Stalder - 11.65 (3rd)
Sharp - 11.85 (8th)
Losing Sharp is a huge deal - the kid was a great tailback ... But before October - I have a feeling everyone in the TVC will know who Freddie Stalder is.
Re: Best teams in TVC Ohio/Hocking?
Dog - Sharp was a scat back with good speed. When playing against Sharp you were not worried about his speed as much as his ability to be a good runningback.

Stalder is very similar I44 ... I was just making a point that he's pretty darn fast as well.Ironmen44 wrote:Dog - Sharp was a scat back with good speed. When playing against Sharp you were not worried about his speed as much as his ability to be a good runningback.
