I thought this was about Warren and Jackson?????? How did it digress into Ironton and Jackson??????
Strength of schedule goes to Jackson, if the Warriors that showed up, fired up and ready to play like last Friday, this game could be very interesting game. Both teams have something to prove. So I would look for a game that will leave both sides bruised and sore on Saturday morning. Hey, is this apple festival weekend?

I believe the Ironmen will have a different look this week. Many new players coming into the game this week. I have been saying this from the beginning of the season, they need to roll fresh players onto the field. I believe this week we will see this. I also believe the tempo of the offense will be moving at a faster rate. Just my opinions!!! It's going to be a long night for Warren.

For Jackson fans that are interested...
7th grade defeated Waverly tonight, 36-12. 8th grade overcame a 16-6 deficit, and also a 22-20 deficit in the 4th quarter, to win 28-22. I was pretty impressed with Waverly's 8th grade. They played the Ironmen very tough.

Sounds like Jackson will be a little healthier this week, so that should help. Looking forward to tomorrow night. It's time to get back on track and take step #1 toward another SEOAL title.

P-Berg News picks Jackson 27-26 "Coin Flip, Game of the Week." Dave Poe sports writer. Hope the game is close and maybe the Warriors can come out on the other side of that score, with a "W" Depends on which Warren team come to play.

Jackson 36 - Warren 26 - FINAL
Jackson got the offense going tonight after scoring only 14 points in each of the last three games. I thought Steven Kearns did an outstanding job running the ball at QB, and he made a great TD throw to McCorkle on a crucial 4th and 10 to open up a lead for the Ironmen. Rafferty, coming back from injury, looked very good running the football, and Landrum and Griffiths did as well. That three-headed monster in the backfield, along with Kearns is very dangerous. Gotta give credit to the big boys and TEs up front. They got the job done tonight.
Early in the season, Jackson was playing pretty well defensively against some tough offenses. They've faced some very talented QBs and they faced another one tonight in Leffingwell. However, the defense is gonna have to step up the next few weeks in order to compete for a league title. They played well in spurts, and Leffingwell is so accurate with the football that it's tough to stop, but the Ironmen are gonna have to get some more stops in the coming weeks.
All in all, one down...four to go. Congrats to the Ironmen for getting back in the win column. Time to get ready for a Logan team that will be feeling good after a win against Portsmouth.

Warren showed up and gave Jackson all they wanted. Miller sets school record on 47 yd FG. Stayed in the game, all game. So team has nothing to hang head for. Jackson played well, it was a good game to watch. Good luck to both squads rest of season.
