I believe Wellston struggled against Zane Trace during their scrimmage. They have some beef on the line but they cannot get them out of first gear. Jackson takes this one.

Hopefully this is an acceptable topic for this thread. For anyone interested, the Jackson program got the week off to a good start tonight.

The Freshman team led Wheelersburg, 36-0 with less than a minute remaining when I left. I was told the 8th grade was leading Athens, 38-6 late in the game, and I also saw that our 7th grade squad was leading Athens, 46-6 with under 4 minutes to go in the game. Great start to the season thoughout the program. Hopefully the varsity can continue that trend on Saturday night.

I see 4 wins. South Point, Oak Hill, Rock Hill and Alexander. I think the Rockets will be up for this game, but will falter in the second half. Jackson will not win as many games as last year, but I still believe they start 1-0.

I think this one will be a good game for the first half. Turnovers and penalties will haunt the Rockets. Ironmen run away in the second half. Jackson Junior High looks great!

Saying something good about the Junior High program is in no way being arrogant or bad mouthing Wellston. I'm prod of my son and the other boys. I believe I struck a nerve with swamprat;) BTW I and most people I know still cheer for Wellston when their not playing Jackson. Always will. The best thing for both teams Is when the other has a good season. Go Ironmen and all of Jackson County.
