Gallia Academy 52 Athens 34
Re: Aug. 24--Gallipolis at Athens
I don't think this will be a very close game. I'm taking Athens by 2 TDs.

Everyone is entitiled to their opinion, I think I'll keep mine to myself until after the game, since I have not seen either team play or work out this year.

Please explain your theory.
Re: Aug. 24--Gallipolis at Athens
athens lost skinner, sharp and several good athletes, gallipolis plays hard and the kids are inshape. i think this says a lot more about where athens is than gallipols right now because they are so young and have tons of room to improve.
neither team has the overwhelming athletic advantage if one does it's athens so not a lot of points scored!

gallipolis high school 13

I know a lot of people question the Blue Devils coach, but something inside me says that GAllia Acadamy is about to get it's swagger back!

Hey now ... instead of going out to the local nightclubs and drinking margaretta's - this TRUE FAN will be sitting on his balcony listening to a high school football game ... what kinda of 'nut' does that? In fact, I'm being made fun of already by the everyone down here for wanting to skip out on a 'friday night on the town' ...

Re: Aug. 24--Gallipolis at Athens
Athens lost many key players from a historic Bulldog team including but not limited to Josh Skinner, DeVon Sharp, Trevor Sorrell, Mitch Rider, Ian Dixon, and Chris Russell. While I am optimistic with the talent level of the young group of pups trying to fill some big shoes, I have many concerns with this team mainly from a leadership standpoint. Not only were the seniors last year a talent rich group, they were a group of leaders both on and off of the field and that may be a bigger loss than the difference in on field talent level. I don't know much about this years GAHS squad or the losses suffered to graduation but I am quite familiar with the team over the years and expect the same things that we have seen over the past with a fundamentally sound group that will play hard until the end. I am picking my Bulldogs this one but wouldn't be shocked by a GAHS win.

This should be a great contest Friday Night. But in the end I have to say Go Blue!
