i don't know about that but if they were they need to work more together. because they were confused of their own duties before start of game and who was doing what. The one guy i know is from gallipolis he refs everything. but some of those guys i have never scene do a game before.

If the 2pt conversion would have worked eryone would have thought it was a great decision.

I got to the Tank in time to watch the entire 2nd half of this one. A complete battle of attrition and futility. Ironton's offense did nothing after the opening drive, which was propped up by a kick out of bounds, a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty on GA, and an illegal procedure.
This was a huge game for the Tigers, who probably make it into the playoffs with 5 wins, but the Tigers are going to take a lot lumps in the next weeks. It's no secrect how to beat the Tigers: make them throw, throw all over the field on them, and hurry up on offense. I wasn't impressed at all.

I know the Ironton radio announcers said they never seen this Officiating crew before either.

I was told that 3 of the scheduled officials called off and the OSHAA sent 3 from Gallipolis. The lone guy that showed up from the original crew was the one who got ignored by the others all night. It was a very poorly officiated game. Not sure if it truly affected the outcome or not.

Gallia had plenty of opportunities to put this game away and could not finish. As far as going for 2 i would of been fine either kicking the extra point or going for 2.

Blue devils just need to play for 48 minutes and they will be fine. in 2 games they have lost concentration or composure for about a total of 7 minutes of game time and it has cost them two loses.

I hope now from a gallia academy fan side we can go a week without questioning this teams toughness or size or physical play. 2 years in a row Gallia academy came into game with a winning game plan just could not quite execute it all the way through.

When you see the stats for this game you will wonder how ironton won 14-13. Game except for a few minutes of play was dominated by gallia academy they out gained ironton. 300 and sum yards to less then 150.

As far as pressure on the kicker i did not see any real pressure on him on any of the 3 kicks. 1st field goal attempt he just missed it. During warmups every 5th or 6th kick sort of hooked off to the right on him. just happens. the extra point looked fine to me. And the missed field goal at the end of the half was perfect just a little short. 42 yards is a pretty long attempt for him just being a sophomore and just getting started in football give him that kick a couple of more times and he makes it more times the he misses it.

Gallia stopped themselves more times then ironton did tonight but that is usually what happens against ironton.

good job devils keep your head up.
Agree ! We missed a few ops that we should have made a play and didn't. The conservative side of me says kick it but i dont think goiing for it was a bad call it's called a gamble and you live with the outcome . after just watching the play again. Ironton was ready for a run and the slant was open. We missed the timing just slightly and that allowed the DB to recover and make a play Tough loss.

We got to watch one of the better match-ups & high school football games that will be played in Ohio this year. It was a game of opportunities & breaks.
Both schools should be exceedingly proud of their players & coaches. With respect to the officiating, it was on par with the NFL replacements as they were put together at the last minute. GOOD LUCK to both schools for the remainder of the season and for giving the spectators the opportunity to see a great high school football game.

This is why the game was so close, Ironton didn't know the ref crew.

And here I thought it was because Gallia Academy played very well, had a good game plan, and executed on defense..........

If your theory stands correct, why don't the teams who are struggling use your theory to win every home game?
