Didn't say Fairland would beat Chillicothe, said they were the best looking team we have faced this year. With the way they executed their offense and defense I thought they were the best lookig team we have played. I also believe Fairland would beat Portsmouth by a couple of tds.dreamweaver wrote:Chilli would run all over Fairland. Burg wins.

Re: Week 4: Wheelersburg (2-1) @ Fairland (2-1)
i havent seen fairland play this year but the word is they are quick and good speed at the skill positions. burg has seen a couple of pretty good teams in both ironton and coal grove this year and that should help them to adjust to fairland. portsmouth also has some great speed on the outside even though they are not that fundamentally sound as in years past. i look for burgs overall team speed to be the difference in keeping fairland in check and burg will just wear them down. i am not sure what kind of depth fairland has but i know from reading about them their numbers are down and wheelersburg is absolutely the best conditioned team in our area and that hurry up offense will wear fairland down and i look for the difference to be a couple of touchdowns. burg 28 fairland 14

Ridiculous! Peake is going get pounded. Chance for the second and third framers to play.
Re: Week 4: Wheelersburg (2-1) @ Fairland (2-1)
i think fairland has a really good chance of pulling off the win this week.

Fairland lost to Tolsia. Tolsia has been outscored this year 20-77. Perhaps many teams further north don't understand how average Tolsia is. That being said, 31-12, Burg wins.
Re: Week 4: Wheelersburg (2-1) @ Fairland (2-1)
Burg's offense is very frustrating to defend against...even Ironton did not adjust correctly even though they won. Speed does not intimidate the Burg "D"...Ironton and Ptown had plenty and did not capitalize too much. Glad Fairland's program is getting better and good luck the rest of the season. Take Burg 34-18!

Fairland lost to Tolsia?? Pt Pleasant beat Tolsia like 55-0 didn't they?
Re: Week 4: Wheelersburg (2-1) @ Fairland (2-1)
You can throw all that who beat who by how many out the window. Anyone thats been around this game long enough can tell you that. I think if fairland is healthy they will be up for this one and will give burg a better game than most people think. I still think Burg comes away with the win.

Calpreps projection is Burg 31 Fairland 17. I think it will be worse
Re: Week 4: Wheelersburg (2-1) @ Fairland (2-1)
If Fairland can play at the top of their game, I think they have a chance. Would love to see them pull it off. Just don't see it happening though. Burg by 7.
Re: Week 4: Wheelersburg (2-1) @ Fairland (2-1)
Fairland has athletes. But west probably played their worst game in years offensively and defensively. They won't beat wheelersburg.
Re: Week 4: Wheelersburg (2-1) @ Fairland (2-1)
Burg was favored by 10 against Portsmouth and won by 30 as well. Early in the season those "spreads" aren't too accurate because there isn't enough data, but a 7 pt win would be fine with me.fbfever9 wrote:Drew Pastuer's Fantastic 50 has Burg by only 7

I think burg is just going to be too much for fairland to handle. I hope it's a good hard fought game but I just don't see burg going down in this one.
