Definitely a good game. We needed that. Waverly has a heck of a quarterback. West played what looked like a 4-2-5. We gave alot of cushion and Waverly was very patient. Waverly started out 14-0 but West fought back and found a way.

I liked the defense. Probably need to change a couple kids but its alot better than the 5-2. Would like to see us stay with it against northwest to get ready for wheelersburg. I would move meeker around some to take advantage of his pass rush ability.

Glad to hear they finally made a change, but West could play with 12 and it wouldn’t help against the Burg. That 70-0 Freshman score a few years ago is still fresh in their minds.

The 5-2 would work just fine if the kids could properly read their keys. It seems to me like that is the problem. First td for valley last week was not because of the safeties being too shallow, it was the fact that they both ran up to stop the run. Then you have Irwin trying to make up for those mistakes when it wasn't even his man to cover. West is young and it is the first Time that a lot of these boys have seen varsity play. I would not blame last weeks loss on the coaches..

Who do you blame then? There are teams that could/possibly beat us that did, but there are teams that it should not have been close. 2 wins????? Doesn't matter who everyone points fingers at you go .500 or better on a season or you will be called out at West. Is our talent down that much that we win 2 games?? I know it's not. Attitude reflects leadership.

You know it's not??? How do you know that??? You at practice??? You on the sideline???? Why don't you tell your record your senior year...3 and 7 with good coaches.

It was a good win last night. After we got in the hole 14-0 they really played well as did Waverly I thought. They're not a bad team, just play a murderous schedule.

The Kouns kid really had a coming out party running the ball. Moore had a good game at DB with his first significant varsity time. Meeker and Bricker had some nice individual efferts, especially the 2 point conversion for the win by Bricker.

Waverlys special teams killed us 2 scores c'mon! need to put the starting D on the kickoff and punt teams not a bunch of freshman and kids that wont tackle. Good win for west.
