Don't forget Athens has the TVC-Ohio leading rusher NYBUX ... the kid is closing in on 1,000 yards ... its not like Athens HAS to throw - they just like to.

Gonna be an intresting match-up ... hopefully, no matter who wins - they both get to play week 11.

Should be a classic reguardless of the victor.
Defense against a potent offence special teams and turnovers could make a difference in this game.
Let's all just hope for a safe game for all the players good luck to both teams and congrads for a fine season to both.

I've been thinking about this game all week and I honestly don't have any idea what is going to happen. In the last few years the matchups were easier to predict and we all kinda knew what to expect but the conflicting styles of play this year make the game much less predictable. Good luck, play hard, stay healthy!

What the young men from both schools have been accomplishing over the past few years is quite astonishing when you consider it. Very few things in either community draw the interest, anticipation and crowd as this particular high school football game. Sure, Athens has the OU "fests" (and presidential visits) and the Nelsonville-York community has it's seasonal festivals, which draw large crowds. But each year around this time a group of high school students captivate BOTH communities at the same time, and even people from the surrounding communities are more interested in this game than their own.

That's impressive. Every mom and dad, whether wearing green or orange, should be beaming with pride this evening.

Easier to predict? I wouldn't even give out a prediction last year because I was so torn ... I had no clue who was even the favorite because the two teams were so even.

That's exactly what I meant 93, last year the two teams played similar styles with similar pieces and there was very little that separated the two on the field, this year the styles clash so much that I'm not sure what to think about either one of them and I still don't want to make a prediction.

One of the best crews in the area will be calling the game this evening. I think the fans will be pleased when they see who is wearing the stripes come game time.
