Wk. 10: Peake at Rock Hill
Wk. 10: Peake at Rock Hill
Peake floundered at Coal Grove last week. Can the Redmen pull one off against a foe whose past teams have spoiled their plans before? Or, will the Panthers go out with a bang and claw their final opponent for this season?
Gotta go with our Panthers on this'n, pretty big. Rock Hill has too many probs right now.

Peake should have no trouble with the Redmen in this outing, Most of the players just want the season over.

Will there be changes at Rock Hill next year? Has there been any official announcement?
Re: Wk. 10: Peake at Rock Hill
I think you will see some changes next year but I think they should hire a new Coach and Staff ASAP. The RH facility is very nice and their weight room is second to none from what I have been told. I would hire someone that has rebuilt programs from the bottom up. This could take a few years but this maybe the jump start that is needed for the program. Nothing against Coach Knipp and if you are the Coach next year I hope you turn things around.
Re: Wk. 10: Peake at Rock Hill
I think it will stay the same for at least 2 more years, this is a very young team with a nice freshman/ sophomore class with a handful of productive juniors. Use that weightroom boys! The team lost only 2 seniors but must have some key players battle back from injuries.

Most of the poeple I talk to agree RH is young but the RH fans say they have been hearing this for years.

It is the head coach who is responsible to keep up the numbers of players in each grade. To work with the younger kids and get them positively motivated to play.
At RH is is more of the attitude of the players and parents. Then how the plays out on the field and off. Just because a player was good in grade school or JH does not mean they will be good in High School. Each level a player moves up they must work harder. Some players and parents want to remember those times to much. Time for everyone to grow up. The past has nothing to do with how the game is played on the field. The players need to work hard during the season and off. With parents supportting not trying to enfluence the program. Quit making excuses and work hard toward the goal of a winning TEAM not a good player or last name of a player.
It is all not the coaches fault but how many jobs do you have very poor years do you stay at the job? Sure he won before but if your not continuely trying to improve other teams will and has passed you up. Change the coach but more important change the attitude or it will not matter.

Wells said but I am not sure that the Parents and Players will back the old coaching staff. If RH is going to make a change they should do it fast and not pro-long the situation.

I agree winning games at the lower level does not mean success at the High School level.farmer wrote:It is the head coach who is responsible to keep up the numbers of players in each grade. To work with the younger kids and get them positively motivated to play.
