Re: DVI Region 23, Symmes Valley vs Bishop Rosecrans
when i lived at kitts hill for 31 years, this district was my neighbors, as i was at the farthest spectrum of the rock hill district.i was like 4 miles from svhs, i attended quite a few of their games, and love the people, and community there.i'd love nothing more than to see them go all the way and win a state title. but 1 atta time, ole bait is behind you vikings, give em everything and then some.

Rosecrans lost their best player( broken ankle) in game 8 ( a win over D-II Marietta), then lost their last 2 games. I expect them to make a quick out in the playoffs without him.

if vikings can not make so many turnovers i expect them to win. if not going to be along night. IMO they should be 10-0 but cant shake T.O. BUG!!!!!

I remember seeing Symmes Valley play Beallsville last year in one of the wildest, most entertaining games I've ever watched. Beallsville pulled it out I think 34-33 or close to that, but without their star stud RB Rosecrans is a mere shell of itself. Symmes pounds the ball all night and gets the win. Never did like Rosecrans' idea of recruitment that RB after he was kicked out of Cambridge HS.

Luke Lloyd has been with Rosecrans since Jr High.Anyway Rosecrans is banged up without both backs Lanning(who got hurt vs FF) and LLoyd. That being said sophmore qb Cronin is very good. They run the spread a lot like FF.Cronin runs the ball well from the gun and has a stud WR in Thacker.I look for Thacker to get the ball rushing and in the air.Rosecrans is small and does not have a lot of size. They do have a good coach in Moyer.Ill take the Bishops close.

Will be interesting to see if Lanning plays this week. Zanesville paper said it was a "leg injury". Did it look serious or was he just "knicked" up? Did you see it, Spy????
Re: DVI Region 23, Symmes Valley vs Bishop Rosecrans
I was at Rosecrans Saturday night. Lanning tried to go but couldn't. Looked like a hammy. He was having a tought time even walking, of course it was cold and rainy which didn't help. I would say if he can go he plays more D than O

He was suspended for the 1st half.Came in in the 3rd and dominated the game but then limped off. From what I'm hearing on MVLForum they don't expect him to play.

Re: DVI Region 23, Symmes Valley vs Bishop Rosecrans
Lanning tried to play some defense in 1st half. He was sat on offense in the 1st half because of problems during the River View game. He tried to go on offense in the 3rd qtr scored on short field then came back next series and was in for about three plays then left the field for good with hamstring injury. So to say he dominated is a little bit much. I was at the game and he far from dominated anything except maybe the medical kit when he kept adding tape to his own wrap job of his hamstring.

Lanning in 3rd qt the qt Rosecrans scored 3 times 9 carries 54 yards and td.I think FF doesn't win if he's healthy.

If Rosecrans had tailback Luke Lloyd they are the #2 seed in this region and stood a darn good chance of winning it. Without Lloyd and with Lanning being hurt they are in trouble. Didn't they beat Danville by a few scores early in the year?
