Week 12....Liberty Union (9-2) vs Oak Hill (9-2)

Well here we are again,NO one gives us a chance this week!

I counted 3 posts where people thought Oak Hill would win, and they weren't all Oak Hill posters. Additionally there were multiple posts discussing the game that didn't pick either team. Add to that the voting thus far is 50/50 and its hard for me to see where nobody is giving the Oaks a chance. I personally like their chances this week too. With Oak Hill's balance offensively, I believe they are capable of putting points on the board. I think they're going to have to play better defensively this week though.

Best of luck to the Oaks!!!!! We'll be cheering for you from Reynoldsburg while Valley takes on Wynford. I'm hoping for an all SOC Regional Championship Game!!

An all SOC Regional Championship Game would be great for our area down here. Just wondering. Has the SOC 1 and SOC 2 Champions ever played in a Regional Championship? I cant remember any.
Hopefully next week we can all talk about that. Alot of work to do between now and then though just to get there.

I predict that Oak Hill will not get in a hole early on like they did versus Hillsdale.

Oak Hill is good up front defensively and very good at LB and DE. I think they match up well with a running team. Burg was not so great up front and at MLB and I think that is why LU had so much success against them running the ball.

I will take Oak Hill in a squeeker.......28-21

LU can be thrown on. The Burg proved that. We just didn't have any kind of running game so they blitzed pretty much every play and had Eddie running for his life and he still made plays, just not enough to win the game.

On defense, #69 is a beast and hits like a Mack truck. #28 is also a very good player at LB and fills the gap very well.

If #19 Snyder is in at QB he will either hand it off to #20 Basso (who comes in motion on almost every play) on the sweep or Snyder will keep and take it up the middle. Against the Burg when #6 Vannatta came into the game as QB they threw it probably 75% of the time and #28 and #20 were his favorite targets and both run great routes and have good hands.

If the Oaks can establish a running game they should be able to throw off the play action and they could have some success in moving the ball down the field. LU seemed really succeptable to the short out routes and across the middle.

The pick is Liberty Union. Have an old classmate who played QB in H.S. on my team that owns and runs a pharmacy there. He says they are pretty good. Add in the typical SEO schedule problem amd the pick is easy to make.
