Re: Wahama vs Magnolia update
I can make it to Wahama in about 40 minutes from my house and to Wheeling in about 1:40 from the abode, going up Rt. 7 (which is much shorter mileage wise than taking I-77 to I-70, just have to watch your speed through Powhatan Point). So, 2 1/2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic and how fast you drive.

Drove it from Pomeroy 2 years ago in 2:15 going 7/50/77/70 Easy drive. Cross new bridge just below Belpre. Take Rt 50 to 77 to 70.

Re: Wahama vs Magnolia update
Considering where the game is played, your route is probably the easiest to get to the Island. My route is a little more complicated once you get to Wheeling. I go up the river because I enjoy the view and despise the traffic volume (especially the truck traffic) on I-70 from Cambridge to Wheeling.Hardfowl wrote:Drove it from Pomeroy 2 years ago in 2:15 going 7/50/77/70 Easy drive. Re: Wahama vs Magnolia update
All Wahama White Falcon fans are encouraged to go up Rt. 7 but just remember to go ONLY 35 mph thru Powhatan Point. Great little town, lots of fun at Hank's Place bar (along highway). Only 2 red lights between Marietta and Wheeling and that's in New Matamoras and Powhatan (but that one usually is always green). Go WHITE FALCONS.

Oh SS, don't forget Clair tavern in Clarington. They are still in business aren't they? :122245
Re: Wahama vs Magnolia update
Right, the Clair Tavern. But I'd rather spend my money in Powhatan, lol. You comin' up to watch any games SD?

Fraid not SS. Going to Woodsfield to see my parents this weekend, since I didn't get to see them at Thanksgiving.
