when is the last time the Tigers started the season 0-3?

In my lifetime (born in 1987) it is a rare occurrence that the Tigers have lost more than 3-4 games in a season.

Well, since we've already drifted off topic, I will add the following:

According to WIRO, the last time Ironton started 0-3 was indeed 1968. In fact, I believe Ironton started 0-5 that year, before beating Nelsonville-York and finishing 1-7-2

Chesapeake should win pretty handily.
Coal Grove should win by at least 2 TDs if not more.
The Portsmouth v. Fairland game will be the place to keep an eye; this is the first opponent on the Dragons schedule they have a chance at beating.
Unfortunately for Ironton, I think Quinton Baker and the Tomcats are just too much for the Tigers this year.

Good luck teams! Hope everyone has an injury free game

dragon good to be talking to some other OVC fans.where is everybody. especially with ironton and Portsmouth tripping all over themselves. you'd think everybody would be shining their buckles in here. last 4/5 years everybody has been saying how bad they wanted ironton. well they're here. and Portsmouth is now as well. as well as them blue devils from the French city will be there next year. and it's actually the perfect time for any other OVC team to be licking their chops at the chance at any of em.

League play hasn't really kicked in yet. Trash talking doesn't really benefit anyone before the fact.

RARELY DOES IT EVER PAY OFF BEAR. WE BEEN AROUND LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT. I JUST WANT TO CHATTERSATE WITH SOME OLE BUDDIES. I DON'T THINK TOO MANY, OOPS-----tiger fans will be trash talking at least right now.a good example of trash talk biting ya in the rear can be seen in none other than ole bret-beaenema at Arkansas. him trash talking the big ten, and takes a Toledo golden rocket to the keyster.

Let's have some predictions in OVC action this week.
I'll take Chesapeake over Rock Hill in the game for the OVC lead,
Fairland over Portsmouth------Fairland has had 3 killer games-Johnson Central==Wheelersburg== and Tolsia W.Va.
I'll say Coal Grove over South Point
Ironton upsets Ashland
Let's hear what you all think.

I agree be a tough match for Ironton against Ashland.
But if the players have any support for their coach this is a game that will be played hard and close to the chest in bringing home a win.
The first 2 games Ironton was in and could have won the 3rd the Tigers fell apart after half time.
This game will tell what these players truly believe if they are as good as believed or just going through the motions to get through the season.

I think there will always be a rivalry between the old 5 and the new 3. In that case hopefully the dragons win.

The OVC winner is the league itself, with the addition of the 3 teams. The rest is icing...............this year...
