Re: Week 2 Portsmouth (1-0) @ Portsmouth West (1-0
Rainy weather could indeed affect a team's passing game.........Portsmouth's QB, Isaac Kelly, had 129 yards on 10-19 vs. Valley. The Trojans are very capable of making plays through the air if need be. As said, though, it will be tougher with a wet football and slippery field.

Don't reply needs to learn football and facts. It's not all about what you read. With the rain I'm going with the Trojans by 4 touchdowns.

West scores 29 unanswered points in the second half to win 32-14.

32 unanswered. How's that for discipline? That's what great coaching looks liketiger59 wrote: Fri Sep 01, 2017 7:43 pm West needs some discipline!how many penalties is there on them already?

I see west struggling to to keep the qb off the ground and really get anything started on the ground. Portsmouth defense is much better up front than Fairland isWestfan wrote: Tue Aug 29, 2017 9:08 am
I think both offenses will have trouble stopping the other. I expect an exciting game.

I caught this game from the 2nd-quarter on, and West just flat wore PHS out with good old fashioned smash-mouth football. After the pick 6, it seemed like PHS just gave up and West took advantage of the opportunity. I remember someone saying earlier after a scrimmage that West isn't physical... That's not the West team I watched tonight. West wore PHS out with physical play and 32-unanswered points.

Very good post. I agree 100%. I think West was a little flat the first half. They came out the second half with a lot of fire a wore the Trojans down. Good old fashioned smash mouth football.vladimir wrote: Fri Sep 01, 2017 10:00 pm I caught this game from the 2nd-quarter on, and West just flat wore PHS out with good old fashioned smash-mouth football. Chill bud.Good job for West. Last we heard they had about 10 unsportsmanlike penalties in a row.
