You really think Athens is going to host a game on the same night they are playing? Not going to happen.

@jbuttermore2: Tri-Valley (11-0) vs Athens (11-0) in the regional semi finals will be held at Zanesville's John D. Sulzberger stadium! #DVTV

First of all, Athens isn't going to host! Second, I see a lot of people who just don't see the sizing issues with some of these stadiums. Whether it is Nelsonville, or New Lex, the visitor's areas would be overrun, and due to the lack of restrooms, would have to stand next to the porta-potties! Haha. Who wants to stand several rows deep in what could be a puddle, or walk all the way around the field to get a soda? I'm just saying, with better options, they are likely to be used. Realistically, Athens' visitor seating could not cover itself for an away game without half of them standing, so why would they expect another school that size to do the same?
Now, for the game- Athens hasn't been tested yet, and quite contrarily, Tri-Valley has several close wins (in comparison to Athens' wins). That means the record means little. Their level of dominance isn't as high as Athens. That is somewhat true for Jackson, too. The regular season didn't include anyone their size at a playoff level. Yet, they didn't illustrate the level of dominance which Athens did. The only "if" factor in it, is did they try to score as much etc. My coaches used to start putting in Freshmen/Sophs when we hit a 40 point lead, and that was 30 years before the running clock! The entire region is Athens' for the taking. The real test will be in week 14 IMO. 'Till then, Go Athens!

With this one being played in Zanesville, I am taking it in.
I have watched both teams play on TV, but never in person, so from that stand point I can't wait.
Good luck to both teams and safe travels.

Battle of the DOGS!
If I were going to bet on a dog fight between Bulldogs and Scotty's, I would take the big dog every time.
BOW-WOW! VS GROWL!
GO ATHENS BULLDOGS!

Tri Valley won't just lay down, but I don't think they will be able to keep up with Athens this year.
If Tri Valley has a great night the Bulldogs win by 20.......
Good luck to both teams.

Ya gotta go with athens ! Last year Tri valley was the better team , controlled the line of scrimmage and were well coached , but Athens still squeaked it out ! Going into the game this year Athens is the better football team , It'll take Tri valleys best game to pull it out. If I were coaching against Athens I'd play keep away

Sounds like Tri-Valley was looking ahead! Also Tri-Valley plays a little bit tougher schedule overall than the bullpuppies! But this game will be a nail bitter! Will predict the outcome Friday!C-Bolt wrote:New Philly went 13-28 passing for 146 yards 1 td and 2 picks. They only got 21 yards rushing, Good Luck Dogs

Can you please come up with something other than strength of schedule - you do it every big game and rarely has it meant a thing.moonshine wrote:Sounds like Tri-Valley was looking ahead!
