Re: Week 11: #6 Harvest Prep @ #3 Caldwell
If and this is a gigantic if, Prep can stay away from the stupid mistakes and block so those 2 monster backs have room to run this one could get ugly.
I doubt that happens, so I will go with Prep in a close one.

Two backs as good as any you will have seen your team play against.
They have a D-Lineman who can take a game over.
SR-RB/S- TERRENCE WALTON-5-10-170 and WREC/RB/DB-FABIAN CUVEILJE-5-11-170
SR-WREC-JUDAS TUTT-6-3-190-Kid is a stud. Fast with good hands.
R-DT-JAMES JOHNSON-5-11-225-By far there best lineman. He can take over the
game. Make sure you know where he is at all times. The kid can hit.

Monroe Central played Caldwell and lost a hard fought game in OT.
I know nothing about Prep but Caldwell has a good running back and a good running QB. They have a nice team and good luck to them in the playoffs.

I thought the QB was hurt. Is he back 100%.

Clark is back to 100% for Caldwell. This will be a power running game against a spread it out speed ground attack. If Caldwell limits big plays and controls the ball they will win going away. Harvest Prep has the big play threats to pull the upset. This along with the Paint Valley/T.C.C. game should be very competitive. I feel like three of the four games in this region Saturday could go either way, the exception being Trimble/Symmes Valley which will be a running clock game starting the second half.

Sounds like it should be a good game this saturday. Two teams that have similar philosophies, albeit with different styles on how to do it. If Caldwell can play sound, fundamental football I like their chances. Line play will be key. While they may not have any well known lineman like past teams, as a collective unit this group is pretty solid.

Pulling for Caldwell, although they haven't been very successful in the playoffs.
Re: Week 11: #6 Harvest Prep @ #3 Caldwell
Conversely, Harvest Prep has never made it to playoffs prior to this year.outerbanksjake wrote:Pulling for Caldwell, although they haven't been very successful in the playoffs.
Harvest is big, strong, fast, and athletic. Their D is stout but I don't think they've seen an offense like Caldwell's.
If HP plays disciplined and focused, 27-18 Prep.

This group of kids won a road playoff game @ Malvern last year against a Hornets program that had won a playoff game seven consecutive years according to their people. Lost to a superior Shadyside team in Philly in the second round 30-6 but the game was within two scores until late fourth quarter. I coach these kids in basketball, they will compete.outerbanksjake wrote:Pulling for Caldwell, although they haven't been very successful in the playoffs.

I was told that Harvest Prep has speeeeeeeeed and then more speeeeeed. Monroe had a lot more team speed then Caldwell so things don't look good for the home team.
